I have to know, are there any dark romantic women out there?

I'm starting to feel like there are no women who possess that familiar darkness within them.

    i'm not a fan of the common/usual romantic stuff, but that's probably not what you are talking about.....:D

    No, unlike most people with a dark side I don't associate my inhumanity with sex. I don't seek someone to 'get freaky with', as you so elegantly put it. I seek someone who could one day hope to understand why I think the way I do... to see the desires I hold and not be turned away by them. To see the way my mind works as pure art... Art in it's darkest, purest, most unspoken form.

    I understand why you would think that. I've gotten that all my life. People think just because you are different, just because you embrace the darker side of humanity that you mean some kind of harm toward others.
    I admit the ritual of thought is intoxicating. Covering your bases, being sure... aiming for perfection... achieving it. But I assure all that I could never hurt an innocent person. It's about feeling. Needing to feel. Wanting to feel... something... anything.

    it has nothing to do with being different. different is fine. it's the impression you give off of being some sort of satanic ritualistic animal murderer... and one trait shared by almost every serial murderer is cruelty to animals in youth. you couldn't hurt an innocent person... yet.

    what ritual of thought are you referring to that is so intoxicating?

    i'm quite well acquainted with the darker side of human nature. but i'm all about honesty, not self-delusion. if you're going to lay this all out on the forum, give us the good bits. and not apologies for being "dark." i've no idea what you mean by dark. maybe there are dark women on here that might be taken by this. but your reluctance to say anything more than vague words and allusions to ritualistic killing doesn't make you seem darkly romantic (im thinking robert smith), it makes you seems dangerously unbalanced (ted bundy).

    I was never cruel to animals when I was younger. I may be able to think in... ways that normal people wouldn't think but that doesn't make me evil. Evil is to willingly prey upon the innocent. I could never do that, so long as my heart beats.
    The ritual is all simply planning. Deception, observation, reflection, redemption. It's about perfection... staying in control and holding on to that humanity you know you need to survive. It's intoxicating because every step is an experiment, a carefully planned move on your own part, the desire to be unseen runs deep. It's intoxicating because it gives feeling. When nothing gives you feeling in life, sometimes you have to stretch. I know this must sound terrible...
    I just long to find someone who can forgive my... inability to feel. Someone who can help me to understand why the world seems so hollow and empty. Someone who loves me for who I am. Is that so much to ask?

    So the moral of the story is, darkness and dark romanticism walk hand-in-hand.
