How much do you drink each day?

By drink I mean alcohol....

As of me quitting smoking, my alcohol intake has accelerated to about three or four beers a night.

Just curious to see how much we all drink, and how often.

    This, apparently, is binge drinking!

Well, in our country, apparently if you have more than four beers (? I think, help me out fellow Aussies) it's considered "binge drinking".
    Which is disgusting really....;)

Saw a program last night, and i t had a 20 year old female, who drank solidly from Thursday night til Mon night

I rarely ever just sit home and drink. I prefer drinking only during an event or football games. :)

Very little. I only have a drink if out with friends and then 1 or 2. I sometimes can't remember when I had the last alcoholic drink. I never drink at home.
  • I used to drink a hell of a lot (as in Thurs, Fri, Sat night BINGE drinking til I was sick and then the 'odd tipple' (a couple of beers) every night) but I'm nowhere near as bad as I used to be.

At the weekends I'll have a couple of beers or a glass of red. If i'm going out I'll have a few old shots and Jack and Coke's but nothing OTT. I can't handle it anymore and I prefer to remember who I am now a days :o I certainly don't drink everyday anymore.

I have a beer every day when I get home and a couple of glasses of wine every night.

I try not to drink liquor too much, but when I am out or at a party or something then I do. I don't keep liquor in the house.

Too much. I'll drink maybe a 6-pack during the week and then between Fri. & Sat. night and then football on Sunday I'd say I drink 40-50 beers over the course of the weekend. Not good.

Wow! I just can't drink that much beer. It makes me feel bloated and full, etc.

  • A lot more recently. I never drank during the week and only 1-2 drinks on weekend.

Now every night I have at least one Jack and Coke and drink heavily on the weekend.

Few drinks on the weekend. A random beer or two during the week.

That's about me... in my younger single days, I drank almost every night. Some nights going out, but most of the time just a fee beers or glasses of wine sitting around watching TV or playing guitar.

Now married with a baby, I probably have a handful of drinks a month.

Lately, I've been thinking about trying a drink. Some people sure do seem to like it... Not sure though.

I don't drink every day, but when I do drink I usually have at least 6 beers. I also enjoy sharing a bottle of wine with my wife sometimes, but she can't drink now since she is pregnant.

If I was trying to quit smoking (which I know I should) I would have to drink less. When I'm drinking, I tend to smoke more. Cigarettes go too well with beer.

Far too much, especially when I can afford it.

I drink, on average, 20 units a week socially or just in the house. I can easily hit 20 units in one night if I'm out specifically to drink, sometimes more.

Alright then :D I could happily drink 3 or 4 beers a day just while sitting around the house, if I'm in the pub drinking socially, around 4 or 5 pints or 5 double JD & cokes. If I'm actually going "out" for the night, I'd probably start on 3 or 4 pints and then go onto the JD & cokes, maybe around 5 or 6 doubles. If I do that, I tend not to drink much for the next few days just for the sake of my wallet and the fact that the prospect of alcoholism terrifies me.

Well, it was for me...at the time. Too many nights spent with just a bottle of wine for company, lead to a very unhappy hippie :(

I don't want to go there again, so drinking is a strictly social thing for me now.
