What is wrong with Hamilton? He's driving like a nutter. I hope BMW get's back on track, they had a bad weekend.
He was letting the urgency and frustration get the better of him yesterday, that's for sure.

I starting to believe that FIA stands for Ferrari International Assistance.
Any other car wouldhave been ordered into the pits, at the very least.

Decent race, uneventful other than Kimi's car.

Why two weeks til the next one? And its on FOX again darn it!

    Hahaha, FIA!

The announcers thought it was going to be called off the track (not the Fox "announcers") but after a few laps they assumed it was ok (Ferrari had the head engineer in the pits with a fire extinguisher...).
They do get away with a lot.
Mostly uneventful. It was funny that Trulli didn't think he and Kovaleinin touched wheels (at 180mph, lolsters).

We got the usual speed crew, but the broadcast was condensed into two hours. No peter windsor on the grid or in the interview room after-totally sucked.

    UK next

    cheers

Yet ANOTHER two week wait, ugh!
TSN had a pre-race 30 minutes, and got the interview afterwards for a change.

Yeah why another 2 weeks. jeeze. too long.
    ---

Interesting developments, well sorta. A few American backers are trying to set up an F1 team...Use Honda systems (engines, gear boxes) for the cars.

Another huge increase for teams. $450k to over a million for the yearly fee now, not that most can't afford it.

Well I think you're right and you're wrong. F1 always had that standing in the US but sold out anyway. The problem in this case is sponsorship, although it is more popular elsewhere and many of these other places are trying hard to get a race, which will make it hard for the US to get one back (Australia is trying to get rid of theirs, though, so not everyone is trying to get a race ;)).

Oh, whoever owns the Indy Speedway is definitely trying to get sponsorship.

that's just it.....the sponsors want the exposure that comes from nascrap....and since our economy isn't the greatest right now no us companies are willing to spend the $$$ on a race where the majority of the viewers are not in this country

Australia wants to stop? that sucks

At the Montreal GP this year they speculated that around 70% of the crowd was from Europe and the US, hehe!

I should clarify, the Australian government wants to stop the race due to the noise and cost of hosting it (I think noise is cover, as it's probably all due to cost).

That was awful for driving (except for Hamilton).
Someone from Ferrari's pit decision making ought to get fired for that ;)

    I loved that race.
Great start by hamilton and the championship is up for grabs
    Honda on the podium!!!! :D

Would have been nice if I could have seen the darn finish though. FOX showed hamilton finishing and then went straight to the podium.

It really sucks watching these races on FOX. German race is also on fox.
I think I might go the beach instead.

It was shaping up to be a real battle between Hamilton and Raikkonen, what a dumb move.
    Absolute destruction after that.
    Tight championship.

Yeah, I was waiting for a battle, a great battle. But that's racing for yeah, anything can happen.

I feel bad for massa. I think he has not recovered from that friday crash he had. I think it got to his head and screwed his mind up for that race.

    Hamilton, *clap* *clap* good job.

Melbourne has renewed the GP for another 4 years. I think the noise was a factor because Ecclestone wanted it to become a night raceso there would be a bigger TV audience in Europe. They have compromised and the race will now start at 5pm.
I only lied because it was the easiest way to get what I wanted.

At the time that Raikkonen made his pit stop I think Webber was the fastest on track and he was another that kept the tyres on... Unfortunately it rained again.

That is good news indeed. Time to check time zones :p

Webber? You mean Alonso? I missed Webber keeping his old tires. Knew Kimi and Alonso left theirs on and it was a huge mistake.
I know Heidfeld was ripping the times up.

My point was the Raikkonen was catching Hamilton, then on the tire gaff he went from 5 seconds back to 20 seconds back in one lap.

Massa can't drive in the rain, plain and simple.

No, I meant Webber. That's why he fell back again (had made it back up to 10th at that point.) I'm Australian so sorta follow him a little bit, although I know not to expect too much. Alonso was another, but unfortunately just after the Raikkonen stop it started raining again. So much that Barichello was on the fullwet tyre and about 30 seconds a lap faster than anyone else at one point.

I was surprised by Webber's second place starting position, yet unsurprised by his spin on the first lap.
Everyone on the track had trouble at one point, especially Massa.
I do not like the rain races. While they make for good entertainment, they do not make for good driving.

Webber has proved he is quick over 1 lap and seems to have the head to be a frontrunner but whenever he is up the front things seem to go wrong for him. Hopefully there aren't too many comparisons of Hamilton with Senna after such a dominant display. ( I don't mind the guy but can't handle the British commentators being so blatantly biased.)

Yeah it was quite the show from Hamilton.
They do like their British drivers ;)

    Sweet!
I'll be losing booking priority this year and will go for seats after Xmas I think.

TSN isn't showing the race live either, so I'll have to catch it in the afternoon and avoid sports news all day.
