great game. I just finished watching it, as I've been dealing with barf and poop all weekend (not from me, from my 2 year old) One minor thing----when the Eagles went off sides on the punt and made it 4th and inches----why not send them out as if they're going for it, and try to get the Eagles to jump again? I wouldn't run a play, just try to get them offsides. Run the clock down to 1 second and take a TO. It's nitpicking, but I don't like just handing the ball over up 5 (albeit giving them the ball on the 15)
I think they did that because Feagles had such a great punt that pinned phily with no return. I thought the same thing at first but Coughlin didnt want to do a re-kick. I have to say this was one of Coughlins best coached games I have ever seen. Very few penalties, a few great calls, a great challenge with a little help from Eli,...etc etc etc.
If I had to complain......too many damn field goals again and really not a great passing attack. Protect the ball!!!! Plax where you been buddy???
& does anyone thing Pierce looks a little overweight and sluggish??
regardless a champion style hard fought win is all the matters!

Several astute readers have pointed out that the Saints’ attempt to trade a second-round pick in 2009 to the Giants for tight end Jeremy Shockey could be hampered by the trade through which the Saints acquired linebacker Jonathan Vilma from the Jets.
Under the trade between the Jets and the Saints, New Orleans will be required to cough up a second-round pick if Vilma participates in 85 percent of the defensive snaps this season, and if the Saints sign Vilma to a contract extension.
So how could the Saints send a potential second-rounder to the Jets and an actual second-rounder to the Giants.
Per Tom Rock of Newsday, the Giants would get the Saints’ first-round pick if the Jets get the second-rounder. If the Giants get the first-round pick, the Saints’ fifth-rounder falls out of the Shockey deal.

2 ( 6-3 ) teams left on the schedule, its not going to get easier from here on in to defend our championship.
ravens allowed 200 yards rushing?
Bradshaw came within 4 yards of gaining 100 on them. The Ravens haven't allowed a 100 yard rusher in about 29 games. But I'm sure Jacobs would've gotten there if he wasn't kept on the sidelines.

No Plaxico, No Jacobs, NO PROBLEM!!!!! This is such a strong team it's scary. Eli stepped up big today (as usual) and the rest of the team looked great. As someone said earlier three big division games coming up. Not to get ahead of myself but if the Giants can go 6-0 against the toughest division in football, that would be a huge accomplishment.
good call on making Arizona re-kick. funny how sometimes a hard tackle won't take someone down. But a little tap to the back of the foot can. Kept Hxon from taking it all the way.
I am sure somewhere in this thread (being a Cowboys fan and all) that I made some sort of disparaging remark about the Giants. Like to apologize for that now. hahaha!
Wow.
I think only the healthy Cowboys even stand a chance of beating them right now, not the Cowboys team that played them a couple of weeks ago.
Champagne Breakfast gameball goes to.....Hixon!
That dude is fast as hell and such a threat when he has ball. This team is sooo deep that guys have to go down in order for him to get touches.
Such a solid team in every sense of the word. Just love watching them play.

I'd be surprised if the Giants don't win the NFC (even though I'm still weary of the Cowboys) and the Jets only have to deal with a couple of other teams. They're schedule is so easy that they could be the number two seed.

NY Jets VS World Champion NY Giants , with Springsteen playing halftime ?
why even go to tampa , lets play this Superbowl- bitch in subzero weather/ snow out at the Meadowlands, considering the 3 biggest sellers could be appearing,.......
Bruce - please play some older stuff and leave the new whistling song for another time and place- B2R , Badlands and Thunderroad us, Boss man !

I wouldnt worry about the Cowboys too much. Only teams I would MAYBE worry about in the playoffs would be Carolina, who looks pretty decent. Thats about it and on the other side I would only worry about the Jets or Titans if we met in the Super bowl. Those are the 3 or 4 best teams....and add Pittsburgh to the mix too if you want even tho I m not entirely sold on them.

Hell yes. The G-Men just have to keep doing what they do. Even split between running/passing, and just let their defense do it's thang.
