  • Ever watch that Rob Bredl guy?

He catches (well...every snake) but in particular he seems to like the inland Taipans as they are the deadliest snake apparently (according top him anyways).

If you get bit, is there any point to the anti-venom?

    iow... is it survivable?

not sure about photobooth, but if you got a camera phone, its the easiest. just take the picture and when it says who you want it to be sent to, type in your email address. open it on your email, save it to yur pictures, and upload it on photobucket

I think snakes are cool, but I could never feed a live animal to another animal. What they do on their own time is their own business...but eck...no thanks.

Oh and I forgot to mention one VERY important thing- his name is Eddie.

The day I got him I was trying to figure out his name and I noticed he looked just like Pearl Jam poster I had in my room (since theyre both red and orange). So I chose my favorite member to name him after.

Cute little guy! He's a corn- he can get about 8 feet right?

Is on still on pinkies or can he eat live mice?

Thanks! More like 5 feet. Right now he weighs 80 grams but I expect him to get close to the 500 mark- hopefully go over.
He stopped eating pinkies when he was like 25 grams- now he eats mice with fur but I don't feed to him live. I freeze them and then thaw them out.

I added a top view of his tank. I tried to take a picture of the side view but there was a strong glare.

And he should live to be at least 10 years old. I got him in October when he was three weeks old- so we have a long time to go :).

Cool, only 5 feet. that's a manageable size, if I ever decides to get one of them guys. Not sure if I want something bigger- too much of a hassle changing tanks and stuff. :p

I know you I am driving you nuts here lol but come on....you freeze the mice? You take them alive and put them in the freezer?
Man I feel much worse for the mice then the snake I shot.

He's been in a 10 gallon tank since I got him. He's moving into a 20 gallon long soon and he'll be there for a very long time. And when he moves I'll get another to put in the 10 gallon one.

Corns are so easy to take care but very fun. If anyone is interested (and please only get one if you are willing to take care of it and realize that it won't be small forever) you should check out this site:http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/ to get more info on them and see a lot of pictures from real people (not just pics from sites that are trying to sell them- those are obviously the best of the best).

Here's the difference: you kill because you don't like something, I (really the person at the pet store) kill to make another thing live. It would happen in the wild and it is mandatory for survival. If you actually ate the snake I don't think what you did was wrong, seriously.

like seanw said, they are already frozen in the petshops and you buy them.

baby snakes cannot swallow live mice so the owner usually thaw the frozen pinky or fuzzies out and the baby snakes eat them.

snakes only eat once a week, so owners don't have their fridge full of frozen dead mice or anything like that. :p

But if you want to save money you can find places online to buy in bulk. Thats what I did recently because it was becoming quite expensive to drive to the pet store every so often. My parents were not too happy about them being in the freezer but they are in a ziplock bag inside a tupperware container.

well, once his mouth is big enough for live mice, no need to worry about the ziplock stuff...just worry that little rodent doesn't eats his way out of the container and gets loose in your house. lol :p

I know this is a "snake" thread, but my 8-year old son (and I) want a chameleon...any words of widsom, tips?

They just seem so cool and chilled out.

    Thanks!
I still want you all to "take care"--I am just damn tired of typing it.
