They had a press conference here in Vancouver a couple of weeks ago with Duchovny and Carter promoting the film. They both thought this movie will benefit from being filmed in Vancouver and Pemberton. I think so to ...the show or the movie was never really the same once they started filming in LA. Rumors are this film will be more like a monster of the week episode as opposed to the last one that more followed the conspiracy theory plot line.

Completely agree ...the whole conspiracy plot line was getting pretty convoluted .....I was beginning to wonder if Chris Carter even knew what was going on with that story line! :)

To this day she's one of my favorite actresses. I always wanted Mulder&Scully to get together. That's so cool you saw her! I went to, I forget the name of it but some kind of scifi convention at the Javits Center here and I saw her there.
I think she moved to England and had another baby!

i cant wait. i liked the first one. GF and i have been watching all of them.

were on season 7 she has never seen them. its not going to be about aliens, its more of a supernatural thriller.

thats what chris carter (creator) and david dachoveny and gillian anderson said anyway.
    Peace, Love.

since its been so long since the x-files was on i think the movie needs a good mulder/porn joke. those always made me laugh. i cant remember what episode it was but scully called mulder about something and she used the vcr in their office and he was like "that video that was in there isnt mine" and scully responded with "i put it in that draw with all those other tapes that arent yours."

that show was great and i actually liked the first movie so im really looking forward to another movie.

Yeah, I heard about this a few months ago now. I'm curious how it will be. It has been so long now since anything X Files related has been out that I wonder how much people will remember about the overall storyline.

Well it was funny, because at I remember hearing at one point he didn't even know what was going on. I think they would of done better with the first movie by making it a stand alone plot. I think a lot of people stayed away from it because of the whole alien conspiracy plotline

Got a feeling that was Syzygy ;)

It also has the line (Mulder to blonde police woman): 'Can you help me solve the mystery of the horny beast?'
'We're learning songs for baby Jesus' birthday. His mum and dad were Merry and Joseph. He had a bed made of clay and the three kings bought him Gold, Frankenstein and Merv as presents.'

or how about "small potatoes" where the guy who could look like whoever he wanted became mulder, and he was listening to mulder's messages from porno hot lines. classic! yes, i am a geek as well.

my sister saw both of them at the comic convention in san fran last month, apparently the movie is going to be more of a stand-alone. can't wait!

mulder has some classic comical moments. its really no wonder scully wore pants so many times instead of a skirt.

Actually....I am. I have every one of them. Lame!!

Anyway, anyone seen the trailer? I saw a poor bootleg and I can't wait to see a good one. The crowd in the theater went NUTS when the theme music came on and they realized what it was.

This movie could be pretty big. If it doesn't suck.

What? Why? The 'I want to believe' tag was always part of the UFO mythology. This film will be like a stand-alone episode. I'd love to call bullshit on this one...
