I hear ya man. I'm not gonna lie, I was crying and almost on to the point of balling. This lady and this dude in front of me just saw my eyes tear up and just had this look on them like, "this is awesome", and I just hugged both of them. It was an amazing night.

Yeah, I was planning on going back to my college for homecoming on Friday night - that's not happening now.

i've cried at least 12 times already. :)

i got my championship shirts (yeah, 2) and hat already - wearing it today!

    funniest thing i've read:
"Lidge crumbled to both knees. His catcher, Carlos Ruiz, raced into his arms. Then that tender scene was interrupted by the sight of a 6-foot-4, 256-pound behemoth doing a full-gainer diving on top of both of them. "

Yeah, I read that. Pretty funny. How'd you get shirts already? Were you at the Modell's at like 5 in the morning? Hahaha...I think I'm gonna go get the hoodie. And a pennant for posterity.

I could've sworn I heard on the radio that there were 1,000 people at the Modell's in Exton last night.

My uncle and I talked about this last night and we both agreed that while there will probably be a ton more people at this parade, the scene will be markedly different due to the scheduled and planned nature of this parade. The Flyers parade was almost a off the cuff, spur of the moment thing whereas this parade will be orchestrated from start to finish.

I stopped by Modell's to pick up a few things this morning.. the crowd wasn't bad but the line was halfway around the store... I figured I would stop back later when I wouldn't be an hour late for work..

  • Congratulations, Philly. You are indeed the world champions for 2008. Hamels truly is an MVP pitcher and it's nice to see how good this team really is on the national stage.

It's weird how everything is just sinking in right now about what an incredible week it's been.

Starting last Tuesday when I went to the Temple Game at the Linc and the crowd was chanting Let's Go Phillies right when ESPN's cameras went on and again after Temple pulled a come from behind win.

Watching the first 2 games of the series with my dad.

Picking up my little sister and seeing the chaos that was the complex at 2 am after the Phils win on Saturday.

Getting 5th row dead center seats for the Who for well below face because people were dumping them to go to the Phils game instead on Sunday. And hearing the Let's Go Phillies chant ring out through the Wachovia Center after the concert and catching the end of the game at McFadden's.

Watching the first half of Game 5 with my dad and sis at the tiny corner bar in South Philly where my dad took my mom on their first date.

And then watching the rest of the game last night downtown and being on Broad Street well into the wee hours of the night.

It was just one of the most incredible weeks of my life.

Is that from Harry's call? That is the most hilarious thing how he's freaking out and then goes back to writing. Hahahaha, he's such a weird dude.

Yeah, because Harry probably would've killed 'em. I think LA would be perfect with Harry, though they both have those deep baritone voices that could rock you to sleep. But LA's enthusiasm with Harry's call would've been great. Though him and Fransky together are pretty good too.

The funniest rip on Wheels I ever heard was when I was driving home listening to WIP and some dude calls in and is talking to Eskin. He asks Eskin, "Hey Howard, I'm taking my son down to the ballpark tonight. What's a good distance to keep Chris Wheeler away from my 7 year old son?" I nearly drove into the schuylkill.
  • To all da people da kid knows and lives in Phily and cheers for da Phillies just saying congrats enjoy da parade nuting like it.Heck late nineties going to a ticker tape parade thru Da Canyon of Heroes got to be a regular thing.Well Broad Street is sure not da Canyon of Heroes but Da kid sure u'll all enjoy da day anyhow!
