I'm sorry, but no...I'll do all in my power when I'm at the game screaming my lungs out...but other than that, this is a 0-0 ballgame with 3 1/2 innings to play. I will believe it when it's over.

So what time is first pitch tonight? I know its listed as 8:37, but with the Obama ad, and all the other hub-bub, does that really mean 9:15?

I think the ad is at 8 isn't it? They're just not doing a pre-game.

I would venture Fox will have a mini pre-game. And goes to the field about 8:40. I mean after the rainouts and the discussion for the last few days there has to be at least a mini pre-game.

Now, here are some questions. Is there a national anthem? Do you announce current lineups before the game restarts? Will there be a God Bless America an inning after the national anthem?

Also, with presumed 2 pinch hitters and a pitching change to start the inning, I'm guessing first pitch isn't till about 8:45ish-8:50.

My guesses.. mini pregame... no national anthem... no lineups (at least not televised)... God Bless America as scheduled.... and only a possible pitching change.. I don't think Charlie will burn two pinch hitters if Maddon takes Balfour out... if Balfour starts and no one is warming up, its Dobbs or Stairs... if someone is warming up (Price, although I would think its too early) its Dobbs.. just my guesses.

It wouldn't be Price warming up. The Tampa Pitcher bats 4th in the top of the 7th and Tampa would not double switch out one of its top 5 batters. They would most likely have Miller up in the bullpen as the inning starts.

Charlie will probably send Jenkins to pinch hit as he would rather save Dobbs or Stairs to pinch hit with runners on base.

Madden will counter with Miller and then Charlie will have to decide between leaving Jenkins in against a lefty or with Coste or Taguchi.

I heard this morning that Fox said they weren't doing a pre-game. But whatever, I think the game will start at 8:37 with no introductions of the players. Maybe just some info and recap, but other than that it's like I've been sitting in McFadden's having a beer for the last 45 hours waiting for the tarp to come off.

I don't think Coste will be an option so it would be either Jenkins or Taguchi, in your scenario... I still Dobbs might be used just because of his ability to get on base plus where would you want to bring him in as a PH, after that, with the heart of the order coming up and the bottom of the order has been producing...

So is the torential rain still coming down? Are we going to get a game in?

I believe there won't be pre-game lineups. It's the middle of the game. Not sure about the national anthem, but it would seem that you wouldn't do that either.

It would have been interesting if this delay had gone 4 days. Hamels could have gone back out and finished it no problem.
