Wally the Green Monster will eat the Philly Fanatic for lunch!

Oh you know full well that the Phillie(that's how it's spelled) Phanatic(that too) is THE only mascot that counts in sports. So what if he's an aborted muppet - best mascot hands down.

Just one question.... who the fuck is Wally the Green Monster??? Is he like a part of the wall at Fenway???

Apparenty the Sox brass thought Remy looked too much like a puppet to make into a mascot.

I must say I do like that commercial ESPN used to run with Wally and David "I can hardly speak English" Ortiz. That's pretty funny.

It's alright. It just proves my point that Red Sox fans were/are nothing but Yankees fans all along.

Let's go phils! Put this one away tomorrow. Don't want to have to bring Cole back on 3 days rest for Sunday and I'd like to watch the Eagles' game.

Oh, come on. The Sox have been underdogs all along against this Angels team, and rightfully so. I mean they may the best 2-5 hitting lineup in all of baseball (Angels) with great pitching. The Sox lost Manny, have key guys with injuries and their bullpen is suspect. But ANYTHING can happen in the playoffs. Watch out for them Dodgers.

I love it. That always gets 'em. Plus, it's true.
  • I love it. That always gets 'em. Plus, it's true.

The Stinkees are all about individual stats and being superstars. The Sox play as a team and win as a team. Corny, but true. That Manny was trying to be a diva too much just like Pedro, and off he went. Do you realize that almost half the Sox roster are homegrown players through Pawtucket (AAA Farm system)? Lester, Youk, Pedroia, Papelbon, Lowrie, Cash, Elsbury, etc. etc. They win and play as a team! TEAM = Together Everyone Achieves More!!!!

Funny how there was no such thing as "the nation" until about, oh, I don't know - when they won a world series.

Anyway, that's neither here nor there. Time to go beat the shit out of a useless city like Millioke....It's Algonquian for "the good land."

And when's the last time Philadelphia won anything?

I giggle at that argument. We're not looking for any bandwagon fans anytime soon. It's called loyalty - we'll always be there.

Lastly, all ya need to know is we are awesome and you suck penis. Take the BoSox love to the SAAAWWWWXXX thread and out of here.

That was the funniest part of Rollins "frontrunner fans" comments... Umm Jimmy, didn't the fans show up when this team was bad... I mean really bad??? Of course they did... And if you played well and hustled the fans have and always will love you... if you don't give 100% or at least give the impression that you aren't giving it your all... then you're probably getting booed at some point.

We fucking cheered(and I don't mean a little applause) for a foul ball hit by the pitcher for Christ's sake! We know our fucking shit.

Yeah, they probably will be. Along with the birds, flyers, and fightins.

I guess because we don't have a membership card or membership fees like Red Sox Nation means we're not loyal fans.

    Let's go Phils!

Hey, I'm rooting for you guys. Take care of Milwaukee and the juggernaut Dodgers and we'll see you in the big game. Me thinks if the Sox get by the Angels, I like our chances in the big dance. Don't think Madden will outcoach Tito or the nervous kiddies will be poised for the next step in Tampa land.

People actually think Francona is a good manager which is astonishing. The dude just happened to be in the right place at the right time. How come he couldn't turn the White Sox or Phils around(yet Larry Bowa was able to)? He was placed to be a manager of a team full of talent and NOT screw it up. Of course he'll never have to pay for a meal or a drink in the city of Boston ever again, but I'm just sayin... Maddon on the other hand is a very very very very good manager.

Francona has his faults, no doubt but he has done an exceptional job while here. I wish he bunted more in close games, but he's had more hits than misses and that should not be overlooked. Madden wins coach of the year, no doubt, especially for keeping the dynamic together all year with those young kids and it's particularly notable since Madden is sort of a novice to managing a major league baseball team (besides interim experience). But look, I think Pinella is a reasonably good coach and he couldn't turn around the Rays and had a good year with the Cubs, and the Cubs had one of the best teams going. It's not always just being handed a good team and expecting to win. If that were the case, Torre would have won in NY sometime in the past 10 years.

Torre has 4 rings....All I know is Piniella has shit the bed with every good team he's had('00 & '01 w/ Seattle and last yr. and this yr. with the Cubs)...Madden is making the best of a young team. And even when people like Longoria, Kazmir, etc. were out he made it work(Hinske, Riggans, Gross??? Who???). The Rays are my AL team to root for. A shame their city won't do the same.
