How many times do "outsiders" need to be told? Look it sucks, but it's the way it is yet they still feel a need to come here. Are you not getting the fact that we don't want you here? I hope so now. Ya don't bring a ham sandwich to a beef n' beer.

By the way, I love how everyone and their mother uses the term "bandbox" when referring to the Bank now. As if they're some kind of swami or expert because they've heard every single analyst on ESPN use the term. Congratulations, people - you all now have a smarter knowledge of baseball just for using this term. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.
the funny thing is though is that it is all a show of masculinity that does not really make sense right? i mean you beat or lose to us but does that make it cool to throw things at people? and you are defending that? why? what pleasure do you derive from physically harming another individual at a sporting event? or better yet the morons who try taunting me into getting into a fight with them even though i could have rocked them because they were wasted, but had the support of tons of other people around them....in the end it is really a philadelphia male inferiority complex is it not? you all know you will find a way to lose in heartbreaking fashion to a team that you are better than so you take it out on the person next to you. anyway i've worn red sox stuff to the bleachers in yankee stadium for my dissertation research and was teased and taunted (and i understand that), but never personally touched which is fine. i understand the support of a home team and think that part is cool, but fighting over a sporting event...stupid. defending that and thinking that should be part of the game...weird at best.

anyway hopefully we can get to you all today and have bush and suppan at home to try to take it. like i said the game was fun, and the stadium still is a homer heaven (just not when the wind blows in)...which is why you should give left field the m-v-p(orch) when ryan howard wins for hitting lazy pops out to left ;). have fun to anyone going.

The average distance of Howard's HRs this year was 398, which would be out of most parks to right or left field.

I'm not walking down a dark street in North Philly at 4:00 am on a weekend either but I should be able to right? I'm not arguing that you should be able to do it but it's pretty clear (like walking down a dark street in north philly at 4:00 am) that you shouldn't do it. As it's been stated wearing the opposing teams colors/jerseys on the road is just stupid. I think sometimes people like you do it to get a reaction so you can bitch about it. Besides I've never understood wearing a jersey to a road game anyway as all you are doing is drawing attention to yourself.

amazing how no one ever complains when their team hits homers in Philly. Yeah Ryan Howard sucks and only hits homers at home. Saying the left field porch is why Ryan Howard won an MVP and is considered a candidate this year is just moronic. But I guess every homer by Braun and Fielder have nothing to do with playing with a closed roof. Keep chiding the Phils though - weren't you the guy saying how we should be so scared yesterday of Gallardo (or whatever the hell his name is)? 1 down 2 to go. Call me when the series is over. We will take our best shots tonight at the fat boy.

Plus I wonder what the breakdown is of his homers to right and left field also how many at home and on the road

    More of a pull hitter

Enjoy! I had a blast down there yesterday.

It adds to your enjoyment when you yell at and throw things at Brewers' fans! :)

I'm kidding of course. Have fun!

the difference here is that you are defending the attackers at 4 am in Philly right? like i said i did not mind being taunted/teased i just did not think it was cool to throw things, especially when it hit the poor 15 year-old kid to my right. on a serious note, it is not like you hit gallardo...the double utley got was a joke and he should have made it through six with no earned runs. either way it was still fun, hopefully we will tie it up tonight.

What he said. Again, I don't condone the actions, but you know full well what could happen to you. So tough shit and stay out.

How could we hit Gallardo when more than half his pitches were out of the strikezone?

Thank you. The douche bag was up to 75 pitches by the 4th inning. You used 4 relievers. Not a great start buddy, and nothing worth giving us "what-if's" about.
  • ryan198ryan198 Posts: 1,015
my point was the he lost control after the two errors (or hit if you count utleys double as a hit)...he should have been through 4 with 46 or 51 pitches thrown without having faced utley. granted he ran out of gas in the inning, but it was not entirely his fault. second we used crappy relievers against you guys, so most of our staff is still intact.

You lucky woman!! Hopefully you'll bring Myers the extra "oomph" he's lacked in his last two starts.

enjoy and dress warm, they say it's going to be down right chilly in South Philly tonight.

    C.C. who??

Way to go Shane! We left a lot of runners on base, but we got the runs we needed.

Thank you Brad for making the 9th inning a little less stressful.

1 more win till the NLCS!!!! :)

I'd like the Phillies chances with Moyer on the mound. Moyer is 9-1 since July. And even if the Brewers win they wouldn't be able to bring back Sabathia for Game Four on Sunday and the Phillies have Hamels for that one. That being said, the Brewers have Suppan, whom as Met fans are aware of was a big money pitcher in the postseason.

  • Who else enjoyed the trouble free 9th? It feels like it's been awhile since we had a quick one. My nerves needed it. :)

GREAT game. Looking like we might have a rematch of the 1983 NLCS. I was 3 years old.

    3 words...

Brett Fucking Myers.... shaky early (as usual) but solid the rest of the way and a huge force at the plate... you could see C.C. wearing down and getting more and more frustrated with every pitch to Myers.. it was great to watch.
