Streak ends at 6. Hopefully everybody can recover from the flu soon. Masterson goes tonight against the California Angels...er...Anaheim Angels...er...the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim...

It must be a really nasty flu bug. I've never heard of 3 starters in a row getting scratched because of the flu before.

The kid is looking good so far.

I love how the Red Sox actually have a farm system now.

Bullpen blew up last night. This flu thing is really hurting us right now. Can we at least have one guy in the rotation make a start soon?

Damn It! The RAYS are playing like the devil....a pain in the ass. I almost drove up to see this game in Tampa and I'm so glad I didn't to see a shutout against Beckett. They're I think a half game out of first.

Finally a day of rest tomorrow and a much needed one.

    Peace

I'm glad they get a day off today. Swept by the Rays. Not good. The Rays are much better than most expected but the Sox shouldn't have been swept.

they Rays are much better than people give them credit for ... *lots* of good young hitting and pitching ...

not happy the sox got swept, but, I've got James Shields in every roto league I'm in ... he's a top notch starter.

it's a new week for the sox .... while Detroit's been quite improved and the Sox always struggle in Minnesotahope, hopefully they can 4 or 5 of 7 this week ... .

For sure ... What a gross five games it had been. I know the Rays deserve more credit than they get, but I think it must be conceded that the Sox were slumping badly.
    Hopefully, said slump is over.

I was at the Marlins game tonight, and kept an eye on the game's score on the scoreboard. could've sworn the board was broken after it was still 0-0 in the 9th. glad to see a win in a pitcher's duel.

Another great last inning win for the Sox. Pitching has been great the last week. Only a matter of time till the hitters come around.

Yeah, Manny and Papi are struggling badly recently. Sucks because the pitching have been pretty damn good!

  • Sox -12 Rays- 4. We had our hitting shoes on last night 12 runs on 15 hits. We made Shields look pathetic.

Kazmir's first start of 08 should be a good matchup vs Lester.
