As a Red Sox fan and a Philadelphia resident, I'm so glad the blackhole in right field known as Bobby Abreu is a Yankee and not a Red Sox. I was literally almost sick to my stomach a couple of years ago when the Sox almost traded for him.

Made an error on a single allowing Ortiz to get the third when the ball went right by him.

Sox took the lead when Ortiz scored on a sac fly to make it 5-4.

LOL, I am watching the game. I saw that. He has been doing ok after that.
Thankfully A-Hole-Rod just hit a home run, though. Sure got quiet in Boston.

Considering the next 13 games are against a .500 Oakland team, a young over achieving Diamondbacks team, and home against the struggling Rockies and Giants, I think your prediction is way off base.

Are you kidding me? This thing goes dead when we win too. 7-5 Against the Yanks 12 1/2 ahead of them over 10 between us and second. I'll take that every day and twice on Sundays.

red Sox fans are the ones who are supposed to look for moral victories. You're better than that aren't you?

So I think it's funny when the Yankees win 1 in a row, there is hope of the wild card. I am not saying that the yankees could actually improve as the season goes on, they have come from behind before and I am sure they will do it again. But there is a serious funk smell coming from the Yankees dugout. The team is imploding. I am glad for Jorge is having a great year. I like Jorge. Pab just made a mistake. He got cocky with Alex and he made one mistake.

I look forward to the road trip. I work the night shift and I can finally watch some live games....

Can anyone say how much Mike Lowell is just the man! I know he ended the 9th but the rest of the series. Just top notch.
    Let's Go Red Sox!

Answer this. Why did Clemens duck the Boston Lumber Co? Answer :He knows he would have gotten murdered. I think its a funny coincidence that he alSO skips the White Sox to face the Pirates. I will say it right here and now. THE YANKEES AREN'T WINNING ANYTHING THIS YEAR!! SO LEARN TO LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!

Clemens is going to be 7-7 at best this season. He's old. He's used to the comfy National League. Look how Johnson was affected. American League hitters are going to pound him. He ducked from Fenway because it would had hurt his ego on his come back tour. He did not want to bruise it again in Chicago. Yankees are just total crap this year. They have so much talent on that team but yet there is such a foul stink coming from the dugout that there is not a cure to be found.
    Let's Go Red Sox!

Btw, I called it back the day after Clemens signed that he wouldn't pitch against the Sox and that he would make his debut at home against the Pirates.

Nah, checked a schedule for the first home series against an "easy" team after the Red Sox series in June.

Figured that they'd want him to start at home to get the crowd behind him and that there would be no way he would be in game shape by the time of the Sox series at Fenway.

Was a tough loss. I have not a clue why they sent Dustin. Could had kept the inning going. They must had been tired after that game. But today's a different day.

Sox are really struggling now. Dice-K pitched well last night but got no help. Must avoid the sweep...

Has everyone jumped ship since the Sox are slumping? Time for a thread revival. Sox rebound tonight vs. the Giants. We got lucky that the Yankee bats took the night off against the Mets since the Antichrist pitched a solid game allowing only 2 runs over 6 1/3.

Beckett pitched very well today and improved to 11-1. Yanks lose again, fall 11.5 games back. Good day to be a Sox fan. Now if only the Tar Heels can pull out a victory tonight all will be good!
