I haven't read the whole thread, so if this has been mentioned, I apologize.
If this is indeed true, (God I hope so), alot of the headlining acts book secret gigs usually Stubbs the night before they play the festival. Stubbs has an indoor and outdoor venue The outdoor one is called Waller creek amphitheater I think.. Hopefully they will hit Houston and Dallas too if they come down here. I need a serious dose of pj!
I could see PJ headlining a fall Buzzfest for Houston but that festival isn't usually til October, and the Spring Buzzfest is in April. But holy shit, looks like I am finally going to my first ACL. My sister went last year, I was so jealous.
I keep thinkign so all these people are meeting members of the band and no one has asked any questions about the new record, we still only have what Jeff said to go on..... It would be the first thing I'd need to know!!! or if he had a spare reeenk roink I could have of course.....

Don't want to be a buzz kill here, but as someone who has frequented the ACL fest since it's inception, I hate to say that this is a common rumor. Well, it has been for the past 2 or 3 years at least. It usually surrounds another rumor of EV and Neil Young, as well. Tickets to the ACL fest will go on sale way before the lineup is released ( some early-bird tix went on sale right after this year's fest ). There will be 3 day passes for a slight discount and single day passes for around $60. Come check it out if you've never been. Hoping that whoever heard it from the band is LEGIT. Because that would be f'n awesome. I just know I've heard it before, and PJ hasnt played Texas ( or come remotely close to the South ) since 2003. It is an election year, and we know EV won't let his opinions go unheard... So, here's to wishing they come around. Anywhere in the U.S.
