I saw Mike at the Clive Davis Grammy party on Saturday and talked with him for about 5 minutes. I asked him the question everybody wants to know...... Is Pearl Jam going to be playing any more shows besides Bonnaroo.......And he said YES!!!! And told me the only show he knows so far is Austin City Limits....
There you go.....He also said there will be more shows but he does not know where. Peace!!
lets hope the uk aswell but i cant see it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I went to ACL Festival in 2003 and loved every minute of it. I was front row for the headliner (REM) and had no problem getting up close for any of the bands that I wanted to see.
Austin is probably my favourite city in North America and I have family there too so this works out perfect. The only thing that sucks is that they have already selling tickets but they haven't announced the lineup.
Please let this be true!
wooohooo! thanks for sharing the encounter and news....i *love* austin, great reason to go back to visit (and maybe squeeze in a bob schneider/scabs show if the timing worked!)
They must be busy setting up the tour or something..since I'm not getting any replies about my hoodie...
10c do not set up the tour, they just have to announce it and have the tickets up, so, actually, they should be busy answering you about your damaged hoodie instead!
Maybe you'd like to hop over and ask Mike about it, he might even be more helpful!
This thing doesn't usually sell out does it? And do single-day passes go on sale later in the year?
Wristbands and individual tickets for Sat & Sunday usually sell out eventually, but not for a LONG time. But if you're feeling especially saucy, wristbands are already on sale. Me, I live here so I buy one every year as soon as I can. If you just wanted a ticket for Sunday, those usually don't go on sale until the summer.
Oh, and we speak the same language as you Yanks do, at least here in Austin. I have family in rural Tennesse though, and that requires an interpreter, usually my Dad.

Not to sound skeptical or anything, but why would McCready be at a Grammy party?
...
The Foo Fighters played at this party.
...
And on an slightly off note... I talked to Chris Shiflett about the Grammys back whene 'OneByOne' was nominated. He said the guys in the band thought they were kinda lame... but, they go because it's fun and the spouses really love to get all dressed up and meet Jennifer Lopez and crap. Dave Grohl ended up taking his mom who was all excited and hoping to meet Cher or something.
So, I could see anyone... even Ed... going to these things. I mean, if you got an invite... wouldn't you go? I would... and no one hates the Grammys worse than me.

Saw Jeff Tweedy was there last night. That legitimized the event ever-so-slightly for me.

All your 'languages' sound funny to me, PJ gets me to pretty interesting areas expressionwise... Oz, London, and now the South! yeeehaaa!
Anyway we should talk about a touring van plan
