I think someone controls it, I'm pretty sure, I could have swore I could hear heavy breathing before.
I am pretty sure it is controlled by a person remotely. In other words, the person is not right there, but rather watching it like we do.

I do not think that person is on mic. I am most positive ALL the sounds we have heard are sounds of the African wild.

That said, I’m sad I missed the giraffe!!!!

I think a lot of those things that look like shooting stars are actually bugs flying across the screen. Because of the night contrast they are likely to show up bright.

When I saw the Deer scatter, and heard the animal drinking noises in the background...my heart was racing! I was hoping we'd see a lion or a cheetah :)

I don't think they are called deer, but yes! Who knew right?

I was just checking out another link to this webcam... think I may have found an answer to the question of the flashlight kind of lights in the background every so often. Apparently there is a lodge stage left of the camera...
I would highly reccomend checking this out.

My boyfriend is also hooked on this now :) We'd always talked about taking a trip somewhere, seeing the world (and eloping) rather than having a big expensive wedding. Wouldn't it be amazing to get married with that kind of a backdrop? Hey, a girl can dream right ;)

There goes my productivity for the day. Way to go jlew24asu, you have wasted the taxpayers money in the State of Illinois, probably some of it is yours.

I gotta say a lion would be cooler.

A pack of lions attacking an elephant would be tops!
