    not a fan of those kind of displays, but in this case i can certainly understand. i was pretty happy to see rich get the submission. i got the method and winner right...points, baby! :D

    great performance by lyoto this time out again. he finally gets his finish and against a top name opponent. i thought this fight could have been over earlier when the ref had a weird stand up. it looked like lyoto had the submission locked and was going for position when the ref stopped them to stand it up...same outcome in any case. great win for lyoto and finally not a decision win. :)

    1-0 Chuck...Silva's counter punches are short, Chuck's punches have been accurate. Silva's needs to mix it up.

    great first round. i'd have to give that one to chuck. silva was caught a few times, but man does he recover quick.

    after you mention the takedown, that just might be what made the difference for the 30-27 scores. that third round, though....wow! what a fight! dan handerson hit silva with the same spinning back fist / forearm and finished him off in much the same way it was looking like chuck was going to finish him...but then you said it, beachdweller...what happened there? gassed, i guess. he was throwing to finish and wanderlei was so tough. he was hurt many times. what an incredible fight, and considering the hype that's rare that it lives up to expectations.

    we still have st-pierre and hughes coming up!!!!

    dominate controlling round by GSP, but it's great to see the defense by Hughes on his back, GSP would have finished 99% of fighters with that position. Matt was very composed. If Matt can't get GSP on his back, I'm not sure what he'll be able to do.
