indeed! i'm hoping to see some elbows! or a submission! :)
  • Credeur had Adderall in his sysytem.
Here is what it's used for.
Adderall has also been used successfully to manage severe cases of treatment-resistant depression. Individuals who show little or no response to typical antidepressants--such as the SSRIs and tricyclics--are more likely to respond to psychostimulant therapy. These patients, however, are the exception, rather than the norm among those with depression and this is not an approved indication. Other recognized uses include[2]:

Idiopathic Central Nervous System Hypersomnia established by recognized diagnostic criteria
    Drug-induced brain dysfunction
    Epilepsy
Depression shown to be refractory to other therapeutic modalities
    Senile apathetic behavior

    thanks, lbc. that's weird, eh?

I wouldn't be surprised if Tim was using Adderall to help him make weight.

Yay! Evan gets the takedown then a great knee! :D
  • beautiful flying knee from the single leg by grove! evan has to keep him down once he gets him down. good fight so far!
  • evan is getting beat up on the feet. something better change quick...

    +1
  • credit to evan for being willing to break those clinches at the end to look for the finish. he was taking a chance there, and was able to land a little bit in that round, but clearly kendall's fight.
  • what the hell? one of the judges gave it to evan? i think kendall probably won all three rounds. should have been unanimous for grove.
  • lbc. you beat me by one! one point! :D that's a successful defense, if i'm not mistaken. ;) congrats!

  • Hey , another good card. What do you think of the Irvin vs Silva fight?? Do you think Irvin has any shot??

hey guys, just got in from the jack and jill and thank you very much for your kind words regarding my grandfather.

i'm just going to watch the show now (i was checking in on my phone while i was at the party so i know most of the results (i'm so happy about the amir win), but i'll respond to what you said while i watch :)

sorry against about not voting this time and congrats to loveboatcaptain on the win, cutting it kind close though lol

more of the same in the second, until matt gets full mount, but makes a huge mistake trying to transition to an armbar...ends up almost getting another one at the end, though! another round for riddle.

ya that was a huge mistake on his part going for the armbar from there, gotta be smarter than that. I think at the end it was a combo of an armbar and a traingle but neither were deep enough to even come close to a stoppage. easily a win for riddle in this fight.

does this mean dante retires??? i remember him saying during the show that if riddle kicked his ass, he would retire lol

edit: love that rogan asked if he was going to retire lol... i'm glad he's not, still young enough to learn from his mistakes and put on good fights

Definitively round 1 to Fischer. I love watching him fight, he's always exciting. I can't figure out why his forearms are bleeding ... I guess from raining down those elbows.

Dinner (scallops, tuna steaks and zucchini), beer and the big screen. Probably my cush-est UFC event watching experience so far.

releash, that sounds like a perfect dinner (if the beer is guiness lol).

nice way to end the fight. more of those sweet elbows too! :)

i might have to give the last one to stephens, but i don't know what joe is smokin' :D i thought it was pretty clear spencer won rounds one and two.

i'm happy i changed to spencer for the win, but i should have kept the decision!!!

agree completely... spencer easily won 1 & 2, but 3 goes to stephens... I probably would have went with stephens here so i'm glad i didn't vote lol :)

i switched today to spencer for the tko win. had stephens by decision before. :) something about the clip from the wiegh-ins made me change my mind. gut feeling. :D
  • Hey , another good card. What do you think of the Irvin vs Silva fight?? Do you think Irvin has any shot??

i wasn't going to give my opinion on this because of da spyda comment. :D haha just kidding. congrats to kendall. he used his reach really well in this fight. i watched it again when i just got up for a bit and i can see MAYBE that evan got round one because of the takedowns, but kendall had the much more effective strikes. no way evan won two rounds, though, like the one judge had it.

yeah, as far as the silva vs. irvin match goes, i'll watch it. :) i remember randy couture talking once about training with irvin and finding that irvin was his own worst enemy in that his confidence in his skills would sometimes wain and you can kind of see it in some of his earlier fights. other times, he's shown flashes of brilliance and explosion with his hands and knees when he's confident.

it will certainly be interesting to see anderson at 205. i guess this is a fight for him to test the waters to see if he'll make a move up and set up fights with chuck and wandelei, maybe rampage? normally i would say irvin has the better hands and stronger kicks going into a fight, but it won't be the case this time. you don't have to be the better striker in mma, though, or even the more accurate or technical, so you never know...it would be a "giganto" upset! :D irvin is a quality fighter with knockout power, but going up against somone like anderson silva the way he's fighting right now is tough!

(mostly i'm excited to see hermes franca vs. frankie edgar on that card! :))

Have fun at the Hip tonight, Ceg! We'll miss you in here! : )

Our picks are pretty similar ... you'll probably beat me by 2 points AGAIN!! ; )

ps Shamrock's Twin got his picks in for the event. I'm actually excited to watch the fights on his super giganto tv.

hey J! missed you guys too... but we did have a blast at the concert... it was an outdoor show, and a beautiful night. :)

sounds like you had an enjoyable evening as well! dinner, beer, and UFC... these are a few of my favorite things... :p

so i watched the show this afternoon. i'm glad my reverse pick on the CB/Amir fight worked!!! ;) Amir is such a charismatic guy... it'll be great to see him in some more fights! The call on CB's tapout was a bit sketchy... i have a feeling that he was just adjusting his hands, and trying to get a grip on Amir's arm... but like you guys said, he probably wasn't going to get out of it anyways...

too bad about the result of Evan's fight! :( he really hung in there... i thought for a moment that Kendall was going to finish it half way through the 2nd. but Evan really came back strong in the 3rd. and the split decision was a pleasant surprise! lol..... oh, but what happened to the Team Tanner shirts?

so.... it seems i'm bringing up the rear on the fantasy league again!! :o i think i need to change my system... no.... i need to GET a system....

it's a good life, long time running, and wheat kings all outside on a beautiful night, eh? well that does sound pretty good!

yeah, i'm disappointed in the outcome of evan's fight. i really thought he'd be able to take kendall down, which he did a few times, but he just wasn't able to control him like he usually does with his opponent on the ground. he's one of the few who can finish a fight with elbows and strikes from the half guard. credit to kendall for getting up each time pretty quickly. he did start to look better on his feet (although joe was right about his standup, it has always been awkward) in the third, and he kept breaking the clinch at the end as if to say it's either you or me who's going down. it was tear jerker to watch his post fight interview where he said he felt flat again and slow. he said at one point that he thought maybe his age and drinking had caught up with him.

no team tanner shirts for evan at least, this time. he got a sponsorship from warrior wear because that's where he was doing most of his training for this fight...the warriror training center in vegas. there were still shirts for team members for sale and anyone else who wanted to but one, but now he's giving the profits to charity instead of trying to use it as a sponsorship model.

he tried to fight the system like PJ, but couldn't quite win! he did keep it to one sponsor, though, i believe. you could see dan christison and his wife kyria as evan was coming in...they were wearing the latest team tanner shirts. dan almost patted evan on the head from a seated position! haha

sorry about being in the basement this go around, ceg. i think by now we have all been there! the good news is we're in the middle of the pack for top team averages again...with only one event left in this scoring bracket! :)

you picked out my three faves from the set list... how'd you know?? :D

although Nautical and Springtime rocked too! :)

did you get a chance to watch the videos? :p

was Evan's interview on the show? i don't remember seeing it..... i'll have to watch again, to see if i can spot the new Tanner shirts....

i forgot to reply when we were watching the event, but spencer was in a minor motorcycle accident a couple of weeks...maybe even a week before the fight. that's what was up with all the scrapes. not sure of exactly when it was or why rogan wouldn't know that...although he did deduce that it looked like road rash from a motorcycle crash. ;)

no, i haven't, but thank you so much!!! sweet! :) i was going to send a pm thanks, i'm getting videos for a change! haha

...probably knew because those would have been my top 3 two...:D

oh, and the interview with evan is one of the post fight interviews on ufc.com he just sounded a little broken up at the end.
  • also, when rogan was listing off evan's former jobs, was anyone reminded of the simpson's episode when homer lists the jobs he's had in the years the show has been on the air? :D i found it quite funny. as a simpsons fan, you'll get it ceg. ;)

...he did forget one, though...student of medicine! :)

You know, I've had a lot of jobs. Boxer, mascot, astronaut, imitation Krusty, baby proofer, trucker, hippie, plow driver, food critic, conceptual artist, grease salesman, carnie, mayor, grifter, bodyguard for the mayor, garbage commissioner, mountain climber, farmer, inventor, Smithers, Poochie, celebrity assistant, power plant worker, fortune cookie writer, beer baron, Kwik-E Mart clerk, homophobe and missionary. But protecting Springfield, that gives me the best feeling of all.
