man, i am so sorry to hear that, leafs. all the best to you and your family.
  • relatively uneventful first round. knees to the legs and boddy in the clinch for almost the entire round. probabaly riddle's round, though.
  • more of the same in the second, until matt gets full mount, but makes a huge mistake trying to transition to an armbar...ends up almost getting another one at the end, though! another round for riddle.
  • i see kyria and dan sitting at cage side. nice. :)

anyway, not the most exciting start to the show. they went from clinching on the fence to clinching on the ground. looks like matt riddle should win the decision. there was not much question, but he sealed it by getting mount again at the end of the third.

Hey Mookie! Sorry for the late entry to the party. Shamrock's Twin and I are watching the event and cooking dinner ran a little long.

Interesting first match and pretty much what I expected. Riddle still has a lot to learn in terms of technique but Riveria couldn't do much of anything.

Wonder what happened to Tim Credeur v. Cale Yarbough??

I'm very sorry to hear about your grandpa, leafs. :( Definitely try to unwind tonight.

    mmm...dinner...:D

yep, kind of a stalemate there.

this one should be wild, however!!!

Definitively round 1 to Fischer. I love watching him fight, he's always exciting. I can't figure out why his forearms are bleeding ... I guess from raining down those elbows.

Dinner (scallops, tuna steaks and zucchini), beer and the big screen. Probably my cush-est UFC event watching experience so far.
  • fisher with some fairly dominant ground and pound in the first. not what i expected here. must have been how their training sessions went, sounds like spencer is talking to him.

how crazy are those elbows from Fischer?

    Stephens looks gassed now.

    i know! nice! :)

like you said, 1st to fisher and i'd say another definitive one for him. yep, spencer is keeping up a fast pace.

hmm ... better round for Stephens. He almost had Fischer at the end there with the guillotine. I think it'll end up a (split) decision for Fischer, since IMO he took the first and second rounds.
  • nice way to end the fight. more of those sweet elbows too! :)

i might have to give the last one to stephens, but i don't know what joe is smokin' :D i thought it was pretty clear spencer won rounds one and two.

i'm happy i changed to spencer for the win, but i should have kept the decision!!!

you could see the grimace on his face. it was locked on pretty tight.

indeed he does! :D i thought the picture was pretty funny after reading the description.

two decisions and all these commercials doesn't bode well for pre-lims! still keeping my fingers crossed for one or two...
  • i'd say first round to diego. not a bad round. diego needs to push the pace more.

Round 1 to Sanchez? Close but I give it to him over Fioravanti based on striking and takedowns

i'd say so. definitely diego's second round. great tempo there for a while! i thought diego was going to end it a couple of times.
  • whoa! diego put an exclamation point on that one! i was just thinking it was a close round after luigi had that beautiful scramble back to his feet and then diego lands a wild combination, head kick, flying knee, finish with strikes on the ground!

Wow!! What a great fight! Amazing pace throughout. I'm happy that Diego was finally able to finish Fioravanti.

it took him a few tries, but he got there. :)
  • pretty much like their first fight, only quicker. :D

it looked to me like herb dean did a good job there of recognizing the tap quickly. it would look like a tap from his vantage point.

    good stoppage, releash?

WOW ... caught with the armbar again! Questionable early stoppage by Herb Dean. There is no doubt that Amir had the armbar in very tight and CB sort of tapped once, but not a definitive tap. I would have made sure that CB tapped a couple times before calling it.

I don't think there was any way that CB was getting out of that armbar regardless of when Dean called it.

that's what i was thinking too, especially after the replays.
  • oh man, evan's up next...!!

Credeur had Adderall in his sysytem.
Here is what it's used for.
Adderall has also been used successfully to manage severe cases of treatment-resistant depression. Individuals who show little or no response to typical antidepressants--such as the SSRIs and tricyclics--are more likely to respond to psychostimulant therapy. These patients, however, are the exception, rather than the norm among those with depression and this is not an approved indication. Other recognized uses include[2]:

Idiopathic Central Nervous System Hypersomnia established by recognized diagnostic criteria
    Drug-induced brain dysfunction
    Epilepsy
Depression shown to be refractory to other therapeutic modalities
    Senile apathetic behavior
