i saw the results page...they have it up now, so i spoiled things a bit for myself, but i did get bonus points on one of them! first time i got bonus points! that's why i WAS still in it.
pretty slow second. what little omigawa was throwing was mostly hitting air. thiago kind of complacent in the stand up. may have been frustrated by the early takedown attempts.
if someone had told me tavares and omigawa would go to a decision i would have been really excited to see the fight. unfortunately, a promising looking first didn't continue into the second. not much to speak of in the second and third. still, probably thiago's win, but not an impressive performance in the last two rounds. some credit to omigawa, i guess.
hmm . . . I had heard somewhere that they were making an mma inspired movie. Based on the trailer I'm not sure if it will be any good.

that's the chant! great performance from patrick. he's looking much more technical. with his power and some more muay thai training...the future looks bright.
so far, i'm glad they showed this fight! i thought it would be for different reasons (a great grappling match) but what a start and then great composure from kurt to stay in it. don't like his taunting, not usually his style.
also, i think kurt got away with a knee to a downed opponent there, but then crane got an illegal kick to the face in at the end of the round, so i guess it evens out.
i don't know about that stoppage, but it may have only been a matter of time. that was a big right hand. i can understand if crane had an argument with it, though.
