I fucking love her. I don't believe I could have handled that moment with her arm around me. I think I would have had a moment if that happened to me.

My brush with a famous person was I once got a lap dance from a stripper and Mo Vaughn (1995 AL MVP, HGH user) was right near me getting one himself. Foxy Lady in Providence. WHO HA!!! They don't allow flash photography in there so I'm without picture.

For a second, I thought you got a lapdance from Mo Vaughn. Ah!!!

Get to the top of the stairs and chatting to the doorman and therefore started chatting to me as I stood there waiting were Noel Fielding (British comedian) and Jonny Borrell ... well they start walking down the stairs as Hells and boyf. start walking up them (so single file past each other) Helen notices nothing but the look of shock didn't leave the boyfs face all evening (there was also Mick Jones and a couple of Sex Pistols sat in the pub as we were there to watch them play a gig).
I would've been so tempted to headbutt Johnny Borrell :o

I was a movie extra for a yet to be released film called "The Return" that has her, Tim Robbins (he sang a few songs for the extras on set and it was TERRIBLE), and Michael Pena (Mexican guy from crash)

She was very nice! we exchanged a few pleasantries but for the most part i was really nervous... shes just as gorgeous in real life... but a little shorter than i expected... and if it looks like shes not really smiling its because it was after filming for like 14 hours for what will probably be 3 minutes in the film... it was a pretty fun experience tho...

She is a great actress. That's really cool.

got blown off by Sean Penn when I was 11... he was an ignorant prick  great actor but complete bollox... to an 11 year old. It's not that I even said anything or annoyed him... even Robin Wright looked annoyed at him when he just ignored me completely and walked off... she was looking back at me and trying to draw his attention but nooooooooooooo! Yep, I'm still bitter!

    scarred you for life?!

    that's not cool.

Thanks :) He was uber sweet and super gracious.

That was in St John's , Newfoundland on the 2005 tour :D We stayed at the same hotel. This pic was taken at the little cafe across from our hotel Jeff walked by the window as we were eating and later said "hey girls" to us :D

And yes HNIC is Hockey Night in Canada.

    Neat! Very cool!

I hung out with KT Tunstall yesterday (she's a friend of a friend). Very odd experience, but she was really nice and down to earth. Even asked if I wanted to hang out at Werchter festival. Not a massive fan of her music (although she does have 5 or 6 great songs) but couldn't fault her personality. Definitely one of the nicest stars I've met, and probably the only star I've had a chance to sit down with and have a casual conversation.

30 seconds to Mars stuff is not that terrible though. I don't know how well he 'sings' but their songs, while a bit melodramatic, I think they get an A for effort.

I don't believe that would be something that I would make public knowledge. :)

Oh I forgot another good one, and it's kind of sad/funny.

I stayed in the same hotel at Kings of Leon for Lollapalooza last year. I must have seen Jared the bassist like 4 times in the bar, elevator, lobby, all about the hotel that weekend. He has a distinctive look, but I had no idea who he was because I wasn't a KOL fan then. I saw their Lolla set and when he walked out I was like 'shit, that is who that guy is'...anyway, I loved their set, now I love KOL . It was a weird turn of events

would have loved to meet the drummer; he has awesome eyes.

posted this and the story a bunch of times but here goes

    Borgata night 2
Im at the tequilia bar with a group and my and a buddy need to hit the restroom before the show. I get to the mens room and there is a line of like 50 people out the door. I see a security gaurd standing in front of two steel doors. I say, " I really need to use the bathroom, Ill give you $20 if you take me the bathroom you use." He says no problem and takes us behind the doors. We are walking down the corridor and we walk past a room where people are drinking and mingling. "I say to my bud, dude, thats the green room and that looks like Neil Young is in there" He says dude, look behind you,
McCready is coming down the hall with a strat in his hand. There he was.

My buddy and I, pretty buzzed, basically accosted him. He was so freaking nice, and paused to take the picture with me. I learned later, that it was not NY, but Ace Frehely in the room and MM was bringing the strat in to jam with him backstage. Awesome. Simply Awesome.

Or receive in your mailbox. I found out last week that my son is in the same soccer team as the son of Christiane Amanpour and James Rubin. Probably none of you know who they are, but I am a political nerd, so for me that's about second best to my son being in the same soccer team as Olivia Vedder :o
