Pictures and story of you with someone famous

Got my first picture with a celebrity this weekend. Was in Vegas and stopped at Planet Hollywood casino specifically cause I remembered there was some cool Pearl Jam memorabilia in one of the stores. After lusting after a signed VS. era shirt and a signed drum head I walked out and I saw Danny Devito and Rhea Pearlman getting a tour from some guide (think Devito is partial owner).

Anyways, girlfriend asked him for a picture and he was totally cool. If you haven't watched "Always Sunny In Philadelphia" you're missing out...hilarious show.

I met the Goo Goo Dolls twice at in store autograph signings. I don't have photos though.
And Johnny was hosting a charity benefit in the city and I walked down the street and he was outside the venue
and I was like  OMG, I love you!

and that's all I could say!

I think I did manage to tell him he was an inspiration to me and to not stop making music. I was awestruck.

I have photos from the band outside David Letterman during the Vote for Change tour. I didn't meet them or get autographs, unfortunately. mikey told somebody he 'didn't have a pen' and then he had to go.

Well, one time I met a bunch of the Denver Broncos at a Hooters in San Antonio the summer after they beat my Green Bay Packers in the Superbowl. I once waited for a couple hours in the cold to meet the guys from Oasis. I have met alot of other bands but nobody really huge. Watch Jay Leno Thursday night for this band called The Redwalls that I have talked to a bunch of times. Dont have any of the photos on this computer besides lately with The Redwalls.

About two weeks ago I was in a lounge in NYC and Jared Leto sat right behind me. Knew who he was but not what he had been in so between that and me having a few too many I decided against meeting him. It was about 1a.m. And he was interested in ordering fresh juice and a nut medley. Gotta love living in NYC, you never know what you'll see or hear!

Not sure I would want to meet him after hearing his awful awful music. He was excellent in Prefontaine though.

No pictures, but I met Juan Nelson and Leon Mobley [Bass and percussion of BHIC.]

Met Juan in Cleveland and chatted with him a bit, and ran into Leon in Chicago but he was on a cell phone. Walked by intentionally about 3 times and waved at him, haha. He had a cigar packed with marijuana. Kind of funny.

I love the random sightings also. Last yr in Tribeca I saw Zach Braff walking down the street

my dad used to drive a cab in the city. He had Trump in his cab in the 70's and he gave my dad a .25 tip! He had Jackie Onassis too.

Me and Rachel McAdams (Mean Girls, The Notebook, Red Eye, etc)

I was a movie extra for a yet to be released film called "The Return" that has her, Tim Robbins (he sang a few songs for the extras on set and it was TERRIBLE), and Michael Pena (Mexican guy from crash)

She was very nice! we exchanged a few pleasantries but for the most part i was really nervous... shes just as gorgeous in real life... but a little shorter than i expected... and if it looks like shes not really smiling its because it was after filming for like 14 hours for what will probably be 3 minutes in the film... it was a pretty fun experience tho... got Robbins autograph but he was kindof a dick

got blown off by Sean Penn when I was 11... he was an ignorant prick  great actor but complete bollox... to an 11 year old. It's not that I even said anything or annoyed him... even Robin Wright looked annoyed at him when he just ignored me completely and walked off... she was looking back at me and trying to draw his attention but nooooooooooooo! Yep, I'm still bitter!

I've met several Irish celebs... had drinks with Albert Finney and Milo O'Shea too... they were really really nice and funny!

  • I met Brian May at a Barnardo's charity art award ceremony when I was 8 years old. I remember thinking his hair was a bit gay, and I wondered why he was trying so forcefully to be my friend.

I was supposed to be presented the award by Princess Diana but she didn't turn up.....

which worked out well, because I was presented the award by Tony Hart, presenter of 'Hartbeat' and my second biggest childhood hero after Eddie Vedder.

I met Coolio in the Tower Records in London when I was over visiting my brother back in 1995. I have a picture with him somewhere, and his doing some kind of gang sign. Its a classic. I have to dig that one up.

Thanks :) He was uber sweet and super gracious.

That was in St John's , Newfoundland on the 2005 tour :D We stayed at the same hotel. This pic was taken at the little cafe across from our hotel Jeff walked by the window as we were eating and later said "hey girls" to us :D

And yes HNIC is Hockey Night in Canada.

I once asked Les Ferdinand if he'd go out with my mother because she fancied him but he was a bit put off by my Dad :D

I also met and got a photo with legendary Scotland and Glasgow Rangers goalkeeper Andy Goram that day. One of my childhood heroes... the dream was shattered. He was three sheets to the wind, smelled noticeably of whiskey and refused to believe that I was a Rangers fan and hadn't just been told to say that by my Dad. He still signed my Scotland shirt though.

I don't have any pictures, but when I was a kid I sat right next to Charles Barkley at a Indians game. He was in town because he had to go to court because he threw a guy through a window at a bar in Cleveland. That said, he was really nice and signed my hat. I remember he asked me if I was a big Indians fan and I remember telling him about how the Indians were going to win the World Series and who my favorite players were.

I also met Lebron James last summer at a gas station. I was at the pump and a black Escalade with the plates "IT CONTN UES" (something of the sort) pulls up. He gets out- bigger than I ever thought, and starts pumping gas. I'm 24, and he is younger than I am so I didn't really make a big deal. I just gave him a look, and he looked back knowing I recognized him. A car full of guys started taking pictures of him with their phones and yelling at him. He waved and looked at me and says "camera phones are the worst invention ever" I laughed and said good luck next year and was on my way.

Oh I forgot another good one, and it's kind of sad/funny.

I stayed in the same hotel at Kings of Leon for Lollapalooza last year. I must have seen Jared the bassist like 4 times in the bar, elevator, lobby, all about the hotel that weekend. He has a distinctive look, but I had no idea who he was because I wasn't a KOL fan then. I saw their Lolla set and when he walked out I was like 'shit, that is who that guy is'...anyway, I loved their set, now I love KOL . It was a weird turn of events

I fucking love her. I don't believe I could have handled that moment with her arm around me. I think I would have had a moment if that happened to me.

My brush with a famous person was I once got a lap dance from a stripper and Mo Vaughn (1995 AL MVP, HGH user) was right near me getting one himself. Foxy Lady in Providence. WHO HA!!! They don't allow flash photography in there so I'm without picture.

In London so tend to see random celebs here and there ... walking their dogs, getting coffee whatever ... reasonably often (actually a TV presenter was getting out of a lift I was about to get in today) ... but one of the more amusing (at the time) involves the lovely Heineken Helen ... her and her boyf. had called to say they had arrived outside a bar we were in so I said I would go to the top of the stairs to meet them to show them where we were sat. Get to the top of the stairs and chatting to the doorman and therefore started chatting to me as I stood there waiting were Noel Fielding (British comedian) and Jonny Borrell ... well they start walking down the stairs as Hells and boyf. start walking up them (so single file past each other) Helen notices nothing but the look of shock didn't leave the boyfs face all evening (there was also Mick Jones and a couple of Sex Pistols sat in the pub as we were there to watch them play a gig).
So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?
