They don't need to say gang related... cos any shooting IS gang related. When an innocent gets caught up, a genuinely innocent person shot dead by gangs... it makes HUGE headlines and is the main news for days. There are quite a few gun owners in Canada actually, mostly rural folk and those who like to hunt. The big difference IMO is:

1)The type of guns; I've only seen one person who owned a hand gun (and it wasn't even loaded). The number of handgun owners per capita legal or illegal is likely a HUGE difference.

2)The illegal gun market; practically non-existant in Canada

3)The amount of gun related crimes/injuries/murders per year.


On a side note, I don't know what happens in the afterlife but I hope this kid suffers horrible pain for an eternity. Someone taking their own life is a terrible tragedy that effects the friends and family of deceased.

Taking innocent people with you because you want to be famous is the most disgusting thing I can think of. Robbing someone else of their life, taking parents from children and children from parents randomly is the some of the most dispicable behavior I can think of. Anyone who would do that doesn't even deserve a proper burrial, feed him to the pigs or something.

People are fucked, but if people fight or hate someone let's say in Italy most of the time they'll use a rock, a knife, a rake to kill them. Not a gun. First of all because guns are harder to come by, and second because they are not nearly as cool and a matter of right as they are in the United States.
One of the nice perks of this situation is that it may be a little harder to kill someone with a rock or a knife, and even harder to kill multiple people in a mall without being overpowered.
