I remember the incredibly gritty 86-87 team almost took down the Oilers and the day we landed Lindros and now I'm about halfway through my life expectancy and this franchise is completely moribund and there are 32 teams and there is a distinct possibility they will never win a Stanley Cup in my entire lifetime. At one point this team had the 2nd highest regular season winning percentage in the league. When they went to the 97 Finals that 10-year gap was the longest in team history. It's so damn depressing. Goodbye cruel world.
i remember listening to the '87 finals on the radio since we didn't have cable/Prism at the time. It was a good great series. I was disappointed but remember the next day i went to school proudly wearing my flyers jersey

The most beloved Philly team not to win the title.  Without their best scorer and several other players hurt they took one of the greatest teams ever to a game 7.  Hextall the greatest Championship performance other the Nick Foles in Philly history.  That Oilers team was insanely good.

I would argue the '93 phillies on this (most beloved philly team not to win a title)... loved that team

oh yes how the hell did I forget that team?  What a fun ride that team was.  No matter how crazy Dykstra gets will never forget how great the was that year and especially during the playoffs.

    I'd go:
    1- 86-87 Flyers
    2- '93 Phillies
    3- 00-01 76ers

Maybe this will convince you to pick that Flyers team.

I’d switch #1 and #2 and add the eagles ‘04/‘05 team or one from the late 80’s/early 90’s at #4 and 5

The run of 1988-92 Eagles teams providing such incredible entertainment while managing to win only 1 playoff game. It's something to behold. There should be an HBO doc about those teams.

well, won three in a row now. Game against NJ was probably their most dominant win this year so far.

man this team is bad. That's 2 straight 10 game winless streaks so far this year. First time that's happened in the NHL since Colorado did it in '14

in half a season.  that is just putrid.  just not enough talent to go around.

They have a lot of the same "talent" that was rolling through the NHL in February 2020, but they are a pathetic mess now.
