1 game suspension for Schenn... Gotta love it.

    Heres the Shanahan video: http://video.nhl.com/videocenter/consol ... 96&lang=en

    TOMORROW i hope
Yep, and Hartnell is out too.
And so you see, I have come to doubt
All that I once held as true
    I stand alone without beliefs
The only truth I know is you.

    Briere too.

The only benefit the Flyers have is the Rangers played last night.
I do wonder if Biron will get the start. Then again, he'll prob shut us out.

    nope.

I really don't think the first month of this season means much. A lot of these guys are obviously out of shape. Stay healthy and get into the playoffs.

that said, would be nice to see the flyers win a game

rangers found there missing identity. puck hounds, no space and shot blocking...trouble for flyers tonight
  • Dr. DelightDr. Delight Posts: 11,210
I'll be shocked if they dont win by at least 3 tonight.

    Look at our 3rd/4th lines
    25 Max Talbot - 21 Scott Laughton - 32 Tom Sestito
    15 Tye McGinn - 11 Eric Wellwood - 45 Jody Shelley
And so you see, I have come to doubt

Since the last lockout, no team has ever made the playoffs after starting the season 0-3. It isn't much of a stat but hey, you guys have a huge mt to climb.

what's that, like two seasons?

I'm not worried. The specials look horrible, the defense looks old and slow, and injuries are mounting. Still no need to panic after 3 games.

No need to panic? You guys lose tonight and its 0-4. You gonna start to panic then? You said your defense is old and slow, specials look horrible, injuries are mounting and you're not panicking? :fp:

nah, because I'm realistic. It's the NHL, more teams make playoffs than don't. They could go 0-10 and still get in

briere is their second best player on the PP. Lot of young guys on roster. No training camp, so guys still playing their way into game shape.

I wont look at the standings for another 2 weeks.

Not sure if you guys are new to following sports, but there's no such thing as a must win game in the first month of the season

There is when there's only 48 games this season. But we're all new to sports and don't know shit. You guys lose tonight, better start panacking.

    agreed.
pretty sad that their will be empty seats for a thurs game vs the rangers. i just checked stub and lower centers are selling for $75

There's a reason Holmgren swung for the fences in going after Weber. This defense is scary and not in a good way.
I fear that if the losing continues, one of the young guys, Couturier, Voracek, Schenn, will be dealt to address the glaring need for a mobile, top pairing D- man.
Coburn is not cutting it and Timonen is prob looking at his last year. Mez has been their best guy and he's coming off surgery in the off season. Luke Schenn has looked pretty good to me, no issues with him.

You're right you're season won't be over. But it will be hard to get back into with all the probs your team has. Look I know the rangers are 1 injury away (hank) from the season being fucked, lose tonight and you guys will be fucked. You guys know the numbers, again, lose tonight start to panic.

i agree 100%, that was the number in my head. That is just to big of a hole to dig out of.

I was boarderline panicking at 0-2, so its completely understandable.
( I think the fans passion is directly proportional to the panic level )
Alltho its a shortened season, the points are detrimental,
and the longer you guys stay in the "L" column,
the more difficult it will be to cilimb out of the hole.

    Now, Lets Go Rangers.
