ill take missing some ice time as long as he can come back. anything near the eye is scary stuff. hopefully next few days swelling goes down and blood doesn't get in the eye and he should be ok. missing a month now isn't all that bad compared to what it could have been.0 -

agreed. interesting to see Scotty on the Claude line with Jagr. That line looked good last night...then again...it's looked pretty good most of the season.
seems like we are starting to see the growing pains that we expected going into the season.
the other interesting note from the Toronto broadcast was they said Bob is pissed about being the backup. as long as it doesn't become a distraction for the team, i like it. it'll push both goalies to be better...and it could provide blue chip trade bait81 is now off the air0 -

Yeah we're going to see stretches I think of very frustrating hockey with flashes of great hockey
I love Lavy but I dont know if he has the patience with a young team. I think he kind of overreacted after the Caps loss with moving everything around with the lines
I think BOB is fine they said the other night when he flew off the ice after the win he was upset at himself for not getting the shutoutMy drinking team has a hockey problem

fuckin Walker cost them that first goal. first the stupid pass to nobody. then the icing. uhg...he sucks.
and now we get him everynight until Pronger is back. :? i guess on the bright side, he's not oscar81 is now off the air0 -

i don't mind it. now is the time of year to try different things. half the roster was turned over, it's not a bad idea to try different pairings. outside of Claude and Jagr, mix and match and see who plays well together. JVR wasn't producing on that line, and Scotty wasn't doing anything on his line. Scotty looked good last night, and JVR and a couple of better chances than he has in past few games.
seems like it's good to have a grinder on claude line since claude and jarg are going to dominate the puck and the defense will focus on them, which will allow the grinder to stand in the slot and to chase down loose pucks. he doesn't have to worry about scoring, but will get a few goals just by being on that line.
i also like JVR on a different line, which will allow him to work more with the puck vs. being the 3rd wheel. he needs to get it going soon if he wants to get to 40 goals. :P81 is now off the air0 -

I'm not expecting to get them, but you never know.
I still think watching hockey in a baseball stadium will suck, but I want to go for the spectacle. And the drinking of course. Lots and lots of drinking0 -

I don't think so. The email I got they are offering seperate tix to both of those events. I have no desire to hit either one of them. Pretty sure they are on new years day. If I'm going to be in philly on new years day, the last place I want to be is at a sporting event (philly people will know what I mean).
Anyway, I'm sure there will be lots of complaining about this ticket distribution for the classic.0 -

Interesting. Well, the lottery I entered is only for classic tix. If I don't win that (again, it's a long shot), I will be hitting stubhub for tix I guess. Just checked and they're not even listed on there yet.

they are getting less tickets to distribute then they sell regularly at the Wells Fargo Center. that's pretty ridiculous for playing a game in a larger stadium. although haven't heard what CBP will hold for this.0
