doesn't matter. My cat was ill for 3 weeks and I was a wreck when he was put to sleep. He was put to rest at night, but I still went to work the next day, only because I wanted distractions. I would not judge someone so harshly for being upset over their dog. You should see the sympathy cards I received a year ago when my cat was laid to rest!

thats what me and the others in our office think... and one of the ladies here has 3 dogs of her own... her point was "what good can she do at home?"

but as much as you dislike dogs
they will bust their ass to love you dude

sure some can be mean and bite ppl like the one that bit you when you were a little jerk off over there in Scotland somplace.

it is a comman fact that in reality dogs give just as much if not more love than they receive except in Cambodia, Louse, Thailand, and Scotland

woman in my office has taken this afternoon off SICK cos her fucking dog died!!!!!

    seriously?

cant wait till i write my sick note for when my goldfish dies of leprosy... i want at least a fucking week.

ok, i know some dog owners will post saying how its like having one of the family die.. but its not really... its a dog.

an afternoon off sick.. i'm fucking aghast at that... wasnt like it was sudden... they knew it was ill and has been for weeks.

My dog is 12. He's a HUGE part of my life. I wouldn't care if it was unpaid time. My boss would probably give me paid time because he knows me and would understand my loss. I would be destroyed and would not accomplish anything at work. I care for my dog. He is Bud Rico Sauve aka Buddy and when he dies and it will be soon, I might take a couple of days off. He was my first real major responsibility in my life outside of working and paying the bills.

You know a dog knows nothing but love. You could be gone all day. You come home and all he wants to do is love you and play with you. they never complain or nag at you. How could you not be affected by that loss.

To each their own I guess.

Do you have a dog by any chance? Have you ever had a dog for more than 3 months?
