    :D:D @ chadwick
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

    yeah

when you think of it that way its pretty crazy huh?

    it really is! :D

thing of it though...as i've said, i used to have the same commute as you, actually less. i lived exactly 0.9 miles from the last school i taught at....3 traffic lights. :p in fact, every morning on the train...go right by the school. however, i will take my 1.3-1.5 hour commute to work into NYC than to go back to that 5 minute commute and my old classroom. so it's all good. :)

i admit though, i DO prefer when i snag an express elevator. ;)
and i LOVE my 6:16 DIRECT train home!!!

so yes, i leave my desk usually at 5:50 PM.....and i am walking in the door to my home about 7:05 PM. mornings i leave my house about 8:05...catch an 8:16 train in....usually make it into my office, at my desk about 9:25. it is what it is.

if i could actually commute to grand central instead of penn station...i'd save almost a half hour in my 'commute'...i can actually look down onto grand central from my cube. but then again, i think of it as *my* time...and exercise!

and i CAN'T WAIT for 5:50 PM today...it's FRIDAY baby!!!
hell, i may even leave at 5:45....it IS raining out...haha.
    Stay with me...
    Let's just breathe...

I am myself like you somehow

  • Mine has been around 4 minutes for the last 4 years or so, but after next week it will be around 15 due to us moving.

    Still can't complain I suppose.
  • Mine is a 60 min bus ride then a 10 min walk, each way.

believe it or not, we don't "need" anything. that is only the spoiled brat in us trying to fill some temporary solution to an emptyness that does not exist.
