oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

About 10 minutes. There was week I was trying to listen to Rory Gallagher's "Walk on Hot Coals" every day on my way to work. That (kick ass) song is 11+ minutes long. Every day, I'd get to work before it ended . Damn!!

Don't you bike? Must live close to work... My bike commute each way is about 5 miles and takes about 20 minutes. I would be postal (even more so) if I was stuck in traffic for more than 5 minutes on any given day...

As litle as 30 minutes by train and bus, or a 45 minute walk. As much as an hour with traffic.

When in London it took bout 40-45minutes if I power-walked, hopped up four steps at a time and ran down escalators, always having to negotiate my way past other commuters as well obviously. Otherwise, taking it easy, it'd be pushing an hour.
    Many have it far worse.

    nice!
i used to have a commute like that! under 1 mile, door to door.

right now i have the longest commute i've ever had....1 hour 30 minutes, door to door. however, it is WELL worth it to me. work in manhattan, take the train, a nice brisk walk to/from. train is only 40 odd minutes...but the walk is 15-20....and then maybe 5 minutes once in my town. i know that doesn't add up to 90 minutes :p....but it's also when i have to leave simply to coordinate the trainrides. however, i LOVe not driving at ALL!

*edit - i see you actually asked how long to get HOME....so i should say less time! train home is DIRECT....and it's fantastic. so yea, more like 1 hour 15 minutes. and every minute counts eh! :D

    hmm... let's see... nyc/major deegan/george washington bridge/yankee stadium = shitty ass.

i am only about 20 miles from my job, and it can take over an hour on bad days. on good days, 35/40 minutes.

Well, I have a fast bike, but when I consider that some people can run a 4 minute mile, I feel like a slow poke averaging that pace. But I guess nobody runs 5 consecutive 4 minute miles.

3-5 minutes depending on the lights. :D

But, I live in a shitty neighborhood. Literally, a shitty neighborhood. A cop just had to use his car PA system to say, "Pull your pants up. That's disgusting!" :(

Awesome, you have me beat. I live across the freeway from work, so I have to navigate around lights and pigeon bombs.

I do try to have a sense of humor about it. Plus, my dog was basically doing the same thing, but the cops didn't say anything about that. :p

    That's a great commute.

It used to take me about 30 minutes door to door, but I rode the train (and walked to and from the stops) so I didn't mind. I actually needed that time to decompress from the day.
