Alright, so the Giants looked pretty good last night aside from some rust on Eli's part and some goofy play-calling here and there. Brandon Jacobs made his presense known. They will be tough.

Washington SUCKS though. Man, when will they be competitive again?

NFC East will again be the toughest division in football. For once it would be nice to be like New England and have nothing but losers to play against every year. I miss having Arizona in the division. :)

Dallas sends a message this weekend 35-17 over Cleveland.
Hard to believe a team with Santana Moss, Clinton Portis, Randle El, Shawn SPrings, Jason Taylor, and Campbell sucks like that! Maybe they need time, who knows but yea it def should be fun in the NFC East again this yr

And it is officially on in the NFC East as both the Eagles and Cowboys destroyed their opponents today and the Giants won the other day.

Someone on Sports Reporters finally said what I have for the entire summer...Romo shouldn't be criticized for being a QB that can't "win the big one" he dropped a hold, and performed better than any other QB against the eventually SB champ...it's almost as ridiculous as picking on A-Rod for "sucking in the clutch" even though throughout his career he hasn't.

Felix looking good, Barbarian business as usual, Witten (except for that ermmm) looks good, Romo with at least 6 seconds every other play, Crayton holding on to the ball....I am lovin it so far. (except all the penalties)

Exactly. And he has only played in two playoff games and only been a starter for 1.5 seasons. Give him time.

Dallas looked really good. NFC favorites at least, maybe super bowl favorites now with Brady out.

Barber - bruised ribs. He's OK.

Romo had his chin split open (13 stitches) when a Brown hit him with the helmet first. Uncalled of course. God, the refs sucked today. Not just in the Dallas game but all day.

Yep...people were saying the same thing about Peyton Manning the first few times he lost playoff games. It's only a matter of time.

Good game today. Too many penalties...as usual..but overall pretty good. Hopefully Newman comes back this week as well as getting Barber healthy.

I actually think Romo has performed better than Manning in the playoffs. Granted for Romo it's a two game sample, but Manning has been terrible - even in the Super Bowl. Still he won one, same as his crossfield throwing brother so what do I know.

Romo doesn't have a win in the playoffs. That makes him tied for worst QB playoff performer with every other QB whose been in the playoffs and hasn't won.

When will people realize that wins is all that matters?

Romo can't play under pressure and shouldn't be praised by anyone until he can actually do something when it counts. EDIT: Which I think he'll do this year, but we'll see.

Yeah, he really did his part against NYG last year. Another year from then and I'll bet he's even better. Those talking trash are doing only that. He should be better this year than last. And the team we have, holy shit. That offensive line is amazing. Jerry really did put something together. TO said it right, They have the talent, they just have to make it happen.

One key part that I noticed was the ground game looks much better. I think they've addressed the grind out the clock aspect that was missing last year.

Cleveland (a team a may casually root for if not playing Dallas) was supposed to have an excellent offence and rebuilding defense. Dallas obviously ripped their defence to shreads, and the D contained Cle to 205 or something.

Next week will be a better measure. They should have Philly's number too. A sweep of Philly would be so nice this year. Team I hate the most. We don't know what they are about since they played the air today (SLT).

NYG didn't impress me against WSH.

NE & Brady, that certainly changes the AFC.

Yeah, way too many penalites. Only complaint I really have about today.

Newman should play next week. We'll need him.

You must not have actually watched the games. He had it won against NYG last year, just didn't get the help. And if you'd seen the games, you'd remember that Romo has done very well in the tight games for the last TWO years. More experience now and his team does supply the help. Its worked out just right for this year. He's the best QB in the NFC, weather all the haters like it or not.

Yup. Romo has actually done really well. it was other factors which cost them the games. I have a real good feeling about them this year.

Well when he runs into that philly defense next week you'll have a good gauge at where he actually is and if he'll put you over the top or out you as frauds

Same can be said for the Eagles. Don't get too excited over whipping the helpless Rams.

That said, this a great early test for Dallas. Clearly these are the top two teams in the NFC to start off.

I think most of the Romo love is because since Aikman, we have had nothing but "frauds" at QB. We finally have a guy who gives a shit, plays with heart and is pretty damn good to boot. Finally someone we can stand up and cheer for.

you're only as good as the playoffs show you to be...as a Cowboys fan you should know that and depending on how long you've been a fan...the old schoolers will tell you Romo has a long way to go to reach Aikman / White / Starbach status...a LONG way

No doubt, but a botched field goal hold, and some poor defense before the second half last season does not make you a fraud. Romo actually played well in the playoffs. He is not held in that high regard yet (Roger/Danny/Troy) and no doubt he has a long way to go....but as I said, Finally someone we can stand behind.

btw, my father has always been a Cowboys fan, therefore, I have been since 1972 (on the day I was born) :)

True...he is a QB that someday may grow into one of the elite QBs in the game...but lets see how well he plays without s receiver like TO...remember this..McNabb (except for 1 full year) has never had a true #1 and has gone to the NFC championship game numerous times and the Super Bowl...all I'm saying is Tony Romo should stop the glamorous life and start worrying about his legacy...cause right now he is known more for being with Jessica
