I don't understand why people hate Tony Romo so much. He hasn't really done anything yet.
It is not his fault the media proclaimed him the 2nd coming of Brett Favre before he even complete a full season.
He dates a celebrity? Big deal.
If you lived down here and had to put up with the likes of Ryan Leaf, Quincy Carter, Drew Bledsoe past his prime, Drew Henson, Anthony Wright, etc., etc. you would worship Tony Romo too. We have been saddled with some miserable QBs since Aikman.DAL-7/5/98,10/17/00,6/9/03,11/15/13

Yes, you're correct- all that and more.
However, You forgot to mention he's a very handsome fella too.
So there's a lot of jealous in the hate. I'm not ashame to admit it, plus he's a celebrity too- very easy hate.PJ- 04/29/2003.06/24,25,27,28,30/2008.10/27,28,30,31/2009

Game on.
As a Giant fan, I'll take that bet. Sounds alot like "McNabb will win a Super Bowl before Eli". How'd that one turn out?

Exactly. We finally have a QB who shows promise and a spark we can stand behind and cheer for. The media always blows shit out of proportion...OMFGBBQ!!!11!! he went out on vacation for a couple days!11!1 .....OMG! he looks just liek a young Brett Farrvree!!!!111 OMG Jessica is a jinxxxx!!! Hopefully all that shit is past and he can finally go out and just play fucking QB
Please, someone else mentioned...most knew it wasn't going to happen in a season or two with Romo....but it sure is finally FUN watching them again.
Sure, I bought a $100 Romo jersey as soon as they were availableAnd after last year, my son may just get an Owens jersey he's wanted since TO got here.

...goes through Cleveland. Dallas will start the season out 0-1. Anyway, I've been calling this year, the 08-09 season to be the Browns super bowl season since 02.Happiness is only real when shared0

As a Steelers fan, allow me to just say HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. You have lost your mind.
Roethlisberger is 8-0 in his career against those chumps. I don't even take them seriously. Their good year last season (which as usual contained two losses to the Steelers) was enough to lift the hopes of you DAWGS wasn't it? that's so funny. they'll be back under .500 in no time and then you can check back into reality.2000: Camden 1, 2003: Philly, State College, Camden 1, MSG 2, Hershey, 2004: Reading, 2005: Philly, 2006: Camden 1, 2, East Rutherford 1, 2007: Lollapalooza, 2008: Camden 1, Washington D.C., MSG 1, 2, 2009: Philly 1, 2, 3, 4, 2010: Bristol, MSG 2, 2011: PJ20 1, 2, 2012: Made In America, 2013: Brooklyn 2, Philly 2, 2014: Denver, 2015: Global Citizen Festival, 2016: Philly 2, Fenway 1, 2018: Fenway 1, 2, 2021: Sea. Anyway, read it again, in 2002 I was in middle school, the team had almost no players they currently have and have almost none of the same staff. I predicted this year, 08-09, to be the Super Bowl year. In 2002. In 8th grade or whatever predicted them to win it in my second year of college.
Just saying this is there best shot since 02. Or since like, what, 89?
All that aside, I don't see a Super Bowl berth, but I do see division winners and a playoff win.Happiness is only real when shared0 -

This is silly...I've read that the Cowboys are going 13-3, that Romo is a choke artist, that Eli is a good leader, and that the Browns are going to the Super Bowl.
I love the 'Boys, but away games against GB, Pitt, Cle, and another year in a tough division will make that difficult - though not impossible - just not as easy as we'd like it to be I think. Last year we played a joke of a division in the NFC North, it's tough to do that two straight years within the conference.
Romo choking in the playoffs is a silly farce. Two years ago he drove the Cowboys to the 1 when Whitten was stopped after getting a first down. The refs reviewed it, found that it was fourth down and put the ball 1/2 yard behind the marker when it was more accurately 1/4 of a yard. Parcells, a noted chicken of the sea, decides to kick against the common sense of:
1. Seattle will be giving you the K ball, the same team that designed a stadium so that the sound will be at its loudest...you think you aren't getting the shiny one?
2. Josh Brown of the Seahawks made a killing drilling 50 yard+ field goals that season.
3. Going for it would prevent the first two things from happening.
So yes he dropped the ball, but it was him who helped get the team there in the first place.
Last year, he was the only QB not to get manhandled by a high-flying Giants defense. On the Cowboys last drive at least he got a pass off on each play, not like Brady, who was on his back after getting crushed by Tuck. Romo hit Crayton who could have ended the game with a crossing pattern TD, and almost hit TO twice with TD's in that game. Again not the sign of a choker, but of someone with bad luck.
Eli=Trent Dilfer with accuracy. On any given pass he is the best thrower in the NFL, but you have to get over the 7 other ones that the threw before that. If Asante Samuel or Brandon Merriweather held on to 'the great leaders' errant throws, or helmet catch never happens, Eli is the same old Eli. You got to the Super Bowl, b/c of defense and a running game that helped Eli only have to lead two big drives the entire post-season (Dallas 60 yards in :43 seconds and the Super Bowl game winner).
Browns are good, v/g defense, nice offense that is coming together, but you are beating SD, NE, JAX, PITT, IND, TENN, this year...I'm not sure about that.
Anyway fun early debate on an exciting season upcoming.0 -
only a cowboy fan would book their tickets to the super bowl before the season even starts.....what a laugh, don't believe the bspn hype. the cowboys will win nothing as long as that pathetic excuse for a head coach is there. last year crayton guaranteed a super bowl appearance after getting whipped by new england. this year moron wade phillips guarantees a super bowl victory before preaseason even starts. is this guy serious? what kind of a head coach guarantees a super bowl victory, let alone before the season even starts. anyway, dallas will be one and done in the playoffs again. they may win the division, but that won't matter.........i'm a giants fan and i'll tell you i'm more worried about philly than the cowgirls.0

Not that I know of. Jerry had mentioned extending it thoughout the regular season, but I think that would be too much of a distraction. Then again, we are talking about the Cowboys here.DAL-7/5/98,10/17/00,6/9/03,11/15/13
