i guess i need to hear your definition of bandwagon, because to me it means just choosing whichever team happens to be the best at a particular period of time. So when I was young that would have been the 49ers, Bears, Giants, and Bills. The Cowboys got worse when I started rooting for them (which was when I was 3), which would show that your argument has more holes than swiss cheese.

no..you started rooting for a team when they were good and just stayed with them cause they were "america's team" kinda cheesy my man...and George W can't hold a cndle to my logic pal :D

Well as a bandwagon fan of The Pittsburg Steelers since their first SB appearance in the 70's and one who NEVER jumped off even in the lean years, I take offense to your statement Sir. I live in Columbus , Ohio and given the choice of NFL teams from my state I of course chose a winner. The Pittsburg Steelers.

being from ny and being a cowboys fan for as long as you have just makes you a guy who has been a fraud for a longer period of time. sorry. i dont make the rules. it also wouldnt count if you are a cowboys fan because your dad was a fan....that just makes you a 2nd generation fraud! we got a lot of them here in philly.
nope my dad is a bills fan, he just let me choose my own team. according to academic studies the bandwagon effect is that to be a bandwagon fan is to root for the popular local team, b/c that's what everyone else is doing (most of my friends were Giants/Bills/Jets fans)...OR root for a team that has a lot of success during one's formative rooting years (went to the playoffs at best between 1983-1991) OR rooting for a team through prolonged failure (they sucked in 1987-1989 but had a history of winning). Of those three my choice to root for the Cowboys as a young kind between 1983-1989 living in NY fits none of the above. In fact you rooting for the Eagles is more bandwagon according to scientific studies than me rooting for the cowboys, because they haven't won shit and they are the popular local team. Try again. ;)

Exactly....and Jeag's...if the Eagles played the Nazi's or Al Qaeda, I would root for them over the Eagles.

academics has nothing to do with this, son. you made a choice, at a very young age, to root for "america's team," the team that was always on national tv, a team that had just finished a decade in which they won 2 super bowls. you chose them over your hometown's team. shame on you. sham on you.

I am really hoping it doesn't come down to it, but it may, and it will be like our own little superbowl before the superbowl.

What are you talking about? I just demonstrated how you were, in fact, scientifically a bandwagon Eagles fan, and how I was clearly not. Again you are using W. logic and just disregarding all evidence and saying you are right. Just saying that you are right doesn't make it so. Try again.

Oh you are so wrong....he was a follower of the Cowboys in the early 90's when they were winning. Now when he get's called on it, his excuse is he was a Jimmie Johnson fan b/c he coached at Miami. And I know Jodi Mac, and I am not confusing the two.

And that's fine, make up your nicknames....we call most Iggles fans maggots so it's all good.

eskin is a huge miami fan (which makes him a fraud in college football coincidentally) and i do remember him liking jimmy johnson. but he wasnt a fan of the team. i was a huge randall cunningfan growing up, i am actually wearing his jersey right now. i was still a fan of his when he was on the cowboys but it didnt mean i was a cowboys fan by any stretch of the imagination.
