Hindsight being 20/20, it would have just been better if Folk had missed that clutch field goal at the end of regulation.

I like how they tried the "timeout" before the FG attempt....didnt work on Folk in Buffalo either ...he kicked it twice.

Hopefully they pull it together this month and at least beat the Rams and Bucs (beating the Giants would be sweet, too) and Romo comes back blazing.

Pacman suspended indefinitely. Decision on the remainder of the season to be made on November 16.

Is this necessarily a bad thing?

Yeah. They took a chance. It didn't work.

I wouldn't cut him now, but after the re-evaluation and they keep him suspended, then cut him.

At least they got Tennessee's 5th round pick because of the suspension.

    Enjoy Roy Williams, everyone...

Lions get a 1st, 3rd and 6th round pick in '09 and kick back a 7th round pick. Oh well, he was gone anyway in free agency at the end of the year... might as well get something for him.

It is, but the Cowboys haven't had the best luck in drafting so I don't think it matters.

I say this every year and now seems to be the appropriate time: It doesn't matter if you like this team or not, but you cannot deny the entertainment value. It is never boring around here. Such a circus all the time.

  • Dallas would just need to lock Williams up otherwise its horrible trade. He's a free agent soon. Though I don;t think that will be hard. He's a texas guy...former longhorn

I have NO problems with the acquisition of Roy Williams. I love it. T.O. loves it most. No more double coverage on him. we now have a LEGIT number 2 receiver who is actually better than most team's #1 receiver!!

our defense just took a HUGE hit by losing Adam Jones, now a position we were deep at is suddenly paper thin. we will reap these benefits though. Rookie CB's Mike Jenkins and Orlando Scandrick will get invaluable EXPERIENCE because of this and it will definitely show later in the season and in the future.

there is always some positive light in all the negative fog.

  • they will just have to put up 52 points every game to make up for vacant secondary. ****
    Hopefully Jenkins steps up

****Nevermind it says he agreed to a 5 year deal

this team was built to win now. there is no more of the rebuilding process that Bill Parcells was brought it to do. no "house" was given away. Cowboys have multiple 3rd round picks and get another pick from the Titans because of Pacman being suspended. Roy Williams turns 27 in December. Tony Romo and Jason Witten are both 27 now. I see our draft picks in this next year being aimed at the O-Line.

nah...I don't think that's the case. There is plenty of time to make up for this trade.

It was a lot to give up but considering they probably would have been drafting 20th or higher next year and going after a WR, instead of getting someone who can't contribute right away they got a proven player who, with Detroit's crappy team, made the Pro Bowl in 2006.

Now if they can just get through these next 4 weeks it should be interesting. Thank God the Browns took out the Giants last night, otherwise there was no shot we'd catch them....even if now the chance is slim, it's still there.

As for Punkman Jones, Jerry already dismissed the bodyguards so Punkman is on his own....they tried to help him and he still screwed up so now if he wants to come back, he is actually going to have to help himself......ESPN's Ed Werder thinks Jerry and the Cowboys are done with him.
