Everyone keeps saying Dallas got fleeced. I disagree. We got picks from Tennessee beacuse of Pacman. We had an abundance of picks. So basically all the Cowboys gave up was a 1st and 3rd round for a proven young reeciver who will be here for years. They were probably going to pick a WR with that 1st rounder anyway and it would have at least been in the 20s. So what is the big deal again? And really, this is Jerry's way of looking forward. TO isn't getting any younger and appears to be on the decline. When his contract expires, Roy will only be 30.DAL-7/5/98,10/17/00,6/9/03,11/15/13

The point is he isnt TO, he isnt Randy Moss, he isnt Larry Fitzgerald or even Anquan Boldin..he isnt even Calvin Johnson! its a 20 million dollar gamble and if your owner wants to take that gamble all the power to him...good luck with that cap in the futureShows:

we'll just keep doing what we did when we had Aikman. we got in a little tight cap trouble, restructured Aikman's deal and we were fine. it happened every year and there was never any problem. you just love knit-picking at every little thing the Cowboys do. this offense just got so scary that you're praying that they self-implode the way people think they're "supposed" to.6/11/08 WPB

Hopefully Pacman is out for good this time..what a joke, and what a joke of an owner defending this scum..though he did recently changed his tune on the matter..'I want to hurry home to you

yea I want him out. I'm sure the players do too, but they know better than to say it. I think Jerry protected him just because he's a player on his team, but thankfully, he did seem to change that. I like when he said that the 4 (FOUR?!) bodyguards that he hired to "protect" Pacman now were all out of jobs.6/11/08 WPB

Exactly....all the nay-sayers and haters.....the have nots hate those who have.....heard a lot of people around these parts upset that their team didn't do anything while the Cowboys went out and improved themselves.0 -

Tony Romo is willing to do his part.
The quarterback informed coaches on Wednesday that he is ready to play Sunday against the St. Louis Rams, a high-ranking Cowboys source told ESPN.com's Matt Mosley.
Romo
He suffered a broken pinkie finger on his throwing hand in a 30-24 loss at Arizona on Sunday, and Dallas medical staff said that he will miss a month. The injury did not require surgery.
Romo did not practice on Wednesday but did throw the ball on the side, and according to eyewitnesses, he was able to throw the ball with good velocity and appeared confident after throwing. The session was not open to reporters.
The Cowboys' biggest concern is that Romo gets hit again, causing him to miss more time than initially anticipated.
Brett Favre, who has started an NFL-record 258 consecutive regular-season games, told ESPN on Tuesday that he called Tony Romo and encouraged him to try to play.
"The only thing I said was, it's worth trying [to play] if you can deal with the pain and can function good enough with a splint,'' Favre said. "If not, don't try.''
Favre has played through a fractured thumb in the past.
After saying he'd try to play, Romo's streak of 30 consecutive starts is now in the hands of Cowboys coaches.6/11/08 WPB

I'd dress him, but not start him. even with a special splint that he used today, it's still very sensitive and even the smallest hit could really set him back. MAYBE, just maybe, not even dress him this week, and try and get him ready to go for next week.6/11/08 WPB

PatrickBateman wrote:of course...I just like the attitude. At best, I say sit him on the sidelines this week and see how he feels for next week....maybe even save him for the midgets depending on how Johnson does.
yea of course, I love the attitude as well. apparently he threw on the sideline today with a special splint and he threw with good velocity and accuracy and didn't seem uncomfortable afterwards. also, the finger won't need surgery so that's great.
and ROY WILLIAMS (#38) fully participated in practice today and it looks like Pat Watkins might be back too. Kevin Burnett is in a walking boot though with some calf-strain type of injury. he's questionable for this week.6/11/08 WPB

Honestly...do you guys think he should risk his whole season to get back against the Rams? I mean I dont want a Tony Romo-less Eagles/Cowboys game at the end of the season...I want us to kick your full squads assShows:

I think he at least needs to sit this Rams game out and then see how it feels.
