    All pubs used to be closed on Paddys day cos of it being a religious holiday :D that was until the 70s.

    right then... for the Saturday, how about somewhere near lansdowne or baggot st. proper rugby pubs? Cos all the festivities will be in merrion square so they're close enough.

    I don't really know any pubs around lansdowne rd area. All the pubs I'd recommend for sport watching are all southside and no use to you :D *mumbles stuff about helen*

    I can't remember if I watched soccer or rugby in O'Neils when I was over there, but the whole pub was going nuts. It was quite a sight. Great food there too!

    yeh, O'Neills has been mentioned by Jenny too. It can be a pretty good pub but I thought there are too many nooks and crannys to bring a big group into? and if you're unlucky you wouldn't have a good view of the screen.

    Aww Helen I'm SOOOO jealous and wish I could make it! I thought I could come but found out a couple weeks ago that we have a mandatory meeting for work (well a series of 4 and the LAST one is on Paddy's day! :mad: )

    Maybe next time I'll make it.
