St Patricks day weekend meetup in Dublin

For those of you who aren't on facebook or don't look at the group or anyone who may just be around that weekend and wants to meet up with us :p I think the plans are almost ready.

Well the Friday night, we'll go back to Whelans by popular demand.

Sunday I reckon we'll just play it by ear and see how it goes... I really fancy the idea of a picnic in the phoenix park (which is just down the road from me) on either the Sunday or Monday... but with Irish weather it's pretty fucking impossible to plan something like that. I'm not sure a picnic in SNOW would be very enjoyable :D

    its just a day for people to get dead drunk and brawl

    especially the fireman and cops here in nyc

    they think they're above the law to begin with , then add beer muscles

    Anyway, since I was rudely interrupted, I'll continue and ignore :)

    possibly Finnish and Norwegian


    Any other nationalities we're missing? All we need to have all the 6 nations represented for the final day of games... is a fucking SCOT! And dunk can't come... so any of you English wanna pretend you're Scottish for the day? :D

    I'm gonna stick on my thinking cap - see if people wanna do other stuff besides sit in a pub for 4/5 days. Which, I know, may seem like a ridiculous thought! Also, will have a think for other venues for those of us who don't give a fuck about rugby :p:D

    hmm... what? You non rugby folks are gonna go to a different pub? :( whyyyyyyyyyy????? Half of them didn't watch it last year but still had a good time (I presume... since they're coming back :D )

    well I'm thinking the Thursday night perhaps we could just go to my local or even sit in with drinks? For those of you coming Thursday? Or do ya wanna go into town? I don't mind either way.

    I mainly meant me, having a quiet pint on my own, listening to some Declan Nerney :p

    Thursday night is student night, would be a good night out... cheaper drink and all that jazz! On Paddys Day itself, there'll be the Céilí Mór- thousands of people doing a bitta dancing, could be fun??

    Ooo... for a nice feed, I'd recommend the Epicurian, also the Grand Central on O'Connell St!

    Jeez I wish I did more in Dublin when I moved up first instead of wandering aimlessly through the Ilac Centre!

    :D I think last year just confused me then... cos the parade was the Saturday and so was Paddys day. Phew... so we can pick a MUCH better pub than the porterhouse... something preferably not too central so as to avoid SOME crowd... and maybe something on the way INTO town from mine :D
