If I could, I would have swans on one screen, dogs vs Broncos on the other...

125 years of QBE, 25 years of QBE being a swans sponsor and it was the jersey the swans wore 125 years ago...

Shattered about the loss. Jack getting injured hurt the swans as he was containing Judd in the first quarter, then Judd just ripped us a new one.

Then the interchange error. Getting penalised when we only had 17 men on the field... Joke, another momentum swing. Not saying it was where the game was lost. But anyone who has played any sort of sport knows how important momentum is....

How the shit was it 94 to 1 at the end of the 1st quarter?

But in a massive turn a round the gold coast suns have actually won the second quarter. It's now only 112 to 33.

Oh yeah, and this Fev interview on sunday night looks interesting.

Apparently Ricky Nixon is on there tonight too. They said during the footy today that they are both pretty explosive interviews.

Fev is in a bad spot, kind of feel sorry for him.
    Dude has no life skills.
Cannot get his tax done or pay bills according to his estranged wife wtf.
The AFL really needs to ensure all players acquire skills outside the game.

yeah, the guy is a fucking genius.

but you know his mum wants to blame the AFL for starting to scout him at age 13, and drafting him at 17. but look at how English soccer do it. i used to work for the Roar soccer club back when they were the lions, and th premier league teams used to sign kids who were 13-15. take them to england, put them up in fully supervised houses, school them, train them, give them money and everything they need. and this is taking kids away from their families to another country and they seem to turn out alright. you don't hear about them having the same problems our footy stars seem to have.

in both codes, AFL and NRL. look at that gold coast titans player who just got done on the weekend for driving 3 times over the limit. when they fuck will these guys learn?

    Their egos are too big.
I think AFL clubs are now encouraging players to do stuff outside of football like uni or tafe courses so that they have skills to move on after footy.

you can really tell the difference between a Union player and a league/AFL player when you seen them on T.V or something. they are all well spoken and can put a sentence together because they all come from Uni back grounds.

they just can't reverse a car.

    True that.
Brendan sounds a bit slurred, don't know if it is the medication or he is just like that.
But a lot of these current AFL draftees sound well spoken and articulate.
Jack Watts, Byrce Gibbs, and those two from Essendon Melkshem and Heppell.

just got home from the suns V lions game. fuck me, the lions suck, lucky i was wearing my Brisbane Bears guernsey cause they sure as hell played like them.

at the start of the year i predicted Brisbane would win four games, gold coast none, i'm starting to think i got it backwards.

yeah, some of the decisions made last night i just couldn't understand. like i know since we lost Bradshaw due to the Fev deal(which was a massive fuck up itself), then losing Fev due to his dickheadness, and now losing browny due to injury we have no full forwards. but last night we start the game with Merrit playing forward?? what the fuck, our best and strongest defender?? anyway he struggled up there and we had no defense and everytime GC got inside 50 they scored, and built a lead real quick.

then our two dedicated ruckmen go from playing ruck to switching forward so they both had no constancy up front or in the ruck, which we got beat on almost every time. but when Voss finally decided to switch Merrit back to defense we actually slowed their scoring alot and that's when we finally managed to bring it back and have it tied late in the last.

all credit to the suns, i said all week they had a great chance of winning, and they played very well. the lions came out on monday and started talking shit about the lions players that went to the suns, and the first thing i said to the wife is they better be fucking careful, at least the suns have a W.

i checked sportsbet during the week and they were paying $8.60 for the suns to win. lions $1.07. i looked into joining just to put $10 on the suns, but it was way too hard to join just for a $10 bet, so i go down to the unitab but they were only paying $5 for the suns to win so i thought nah fuck it. bit annoyed if i put the $10 on em it would have covered the cost of my tix to the footy.

Bradshaw is a great player, but unfortunately all he has done is get splinters from sitting on the pine for the swans...

Would love to have him back, the young guys for the swans like Reid and White struggle being the focal point...

Geelong just out played the lions in the last, we were looking really good til the last. Even after the loss of brown and Clark we still had a decent lead til the last quarter.

But my suns got off the bottom of the ladder thanks to a brilliant win. Love Jared Brennan, he's the shit.

Yeah, half my favorite players from the lions went to the GC. I think I've been leaning more towards the suns of late, I've enjoyed watching their games more lately. But that brissie game today was pretty good. But I was jumping up and down screaming at the tv during the GC game from cairns. So glad they got the win.

Oh and I don't see the brissie/Goldie really have a big rivalry either. Maybe if there was a second Brisbane team it might be different, but that's never gonna happen so.
