I am furious... at 38 points down I was thinking 'Geez the umpiring has been shit, but can't blame them when we are 38 down'

but to lose by 11... to have so many bad decisions go against us... to pick out 2 dubious free kicks in the space of 30 seconds that lead directly to goals...

When Kennelly got the 70m free against him... umpires need to be more lenient especially with the new advantage rule... it was a 50/50 contest, tadgh ended up with the ball and took advantage of what could have been his free kick... instead the umpire takes him 70m down field with a kick on goal...

Then the holding the ball on malceski where he gets smashed, no prior he makes 2 attempts at the ball and razor calls ball... wtf...

I am furious... lot of people unhappy with ray and not just swans supporters.

Congrats on North Melbourne win.. that works well for the swans...

And I feel sorry for Brown more facial fractures...

Good to see a Sydneysider with so much passion for AFL in NRL territory.
Thanks, good that we won, my Bulldogs mate got cocky last night lol.
And Brown is just pure courage, tough as nuts that dude.

  • Karmichael hunt was fucking robbed last night. Dude was the standout player all year. This is bullshit. How did he not even poll one vote? not even for the round he kicked that miracle goal that was his first in AFL and that should also be goal of the year, maybe even century.

Both goodes and judds showing was very poor. Ablett polled more votes then I was expecting. Considering he was in a team getting pumped by 100 every week.

I too just really wanted to hear "gold coast, k.hunt, one vote" could you imagine the crowd in the room? I reckon there might have even been a few boos

Just watched one week at a time and Robert walls grilled Luke Darcy. He wanted to listen to footy talk and all he could hear was "meatloaf, cold chisel and pearl jam"

I'm actually going to miss channel 10s coverage of the afl. Theyre coverage was good for the suspenseful matches. And following the swans we had a few of them.

But as long as ch 7 show all the swans matches then I'll get over it easily enough :D

one week at a time might still be on. hell, channel 9 hasn't show a game of AFL in years and they still have the footy show.

it doesn't really bother me which channel gets it as long as free to air tv still get games. it would shit me even more if it was only shown on foxtel(as i don't have it and never want to get it)

I think ch 7 made an agreement that all swans and GWS games will be broadcast into Sydney... SO I am guessing it will be the same with Lions and Suns games...

What I would like from Ch 7 is to make use of all their channels and broadcast games live or delayed by like an hour on 7 mate or something. It is ridiculous having to wait till 11.30 to watch a game. I rarely make it that late.

Being an AFL supporter is hard in NSW/QLD but being an NRL supporter would be harder in Melbourne...

i think they will, cause i noticed one of the prelim finals was shown here in brissie live on 7mate. i think i saw on the promo during the brownlows that 7 will show 4 live games a week.

Nothing more enjoyable then seeing the wood lose a final.

Well a gold coast vs lions final would be more enjoyable but I don't think I'll see that in my life time.

Actually a bit of a shame the 4th quarter. Was such a great game for 3 quarters. But for a team to run a way with it. Happy pies lost though.

but we're up against it this weekend. the only saving grace is that the hawks think they've already booked a place in the gf. hopefully they can do an essendon 1999 and lose the unloseable.
Yeh I've seen Pearl Jam, too. But I can't remember the dates.

anyone interested in this week's GF? should be a good game.. swans are good but can't seem them getting over the hawks.

So pumped for the Swans.. so nervous... I've been trying to think how we can win..

We need someone to negate Mitchell (bird maybe)

We need Goodes to start in the midfield get some dash.

kennedy, Jack, ROK and Mcveigh needs to get the ball

Shaw needs to be able to distribute off half back

someone needs to chin Franklin, Rioli early so they can't come back on...

We can definitely do it. I think the bigger ground will actually suit Sydney. We're not a lock down team like we once were. I think getting jetta into space will be good.

But Hawks are definitely favourites, and I am sadly preparing myself for a loss..

A wintry day, rain, hail and 14 degrees forecast for the game.
    This will help Sydney.

I don't know.. we might be too tall for a wet day... I heard Mark Maclure say maybe drop Pyke in the event of bad weather, which would damage our structure big time.. But if it's wet, I don' think we can go in with him...

So, another way is to perhaps give Morton the sub vest and give Parker a run.. .That kid will be a star... he's not back to 100% form after Boyd broke Parkers collar bone... but he is made for wet weather football.. If we do go in tall, we'd just need some guys who are able to scoop up the crumbs... so a Bolton, Hannebury, Kennedy.. and even a Jetta. Even though Jetta doesn't traditionally play that sort of crumbing roll. I think he could be good at it...

i think the cold slightly rainy weather helped the cats last year because we are great in the wet but not sure who that would favor this year.. I still think either way hawks will win.. hoping for a good classic GF.

Well we have 3 major football codes in Australia, 4 if you include soccer...

    Rugby League

    Rugby Union

    and

    Australian Rules Football.. or AFL

the AFL grandfinal was yesterday, and my team won... it was awesome...

THis is the last two minutes of the grand final yesterday.. .watch it if you like. It's very different to Rugby Union or Rugby League...

This was pure magic for me

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2LnCMzlv5k

Now I am off to watch my team in the Rugby League grand final... one hell of a weekend...

I wanted you guys to win, especially for Goodes and McVeigh.
    Feel sorry for McGlinn.
Jetta/Rioli chase down the wing was awesome, how loud was the crowd during that!!!
Imagine if Goodes didn't get injured, shame we didn't see him in full flight on the big stage.
