We are getting new bedroom furniture delivered today... we are going from a full size bed to a king, and we just washed our new 600 thread count sheets last night. I can't wait to get the sheets on and to get in bed :)

    Clean sheets mean alot
to a guy that sleeps on the floor
    oh I wanted your love
and a shelf on your dresser drawer
    you tucked me in
to stop my tossing and turning
but I turned back the covers
and I saw those sheets were dirty
even though you'll never come clean
    you know its true
those sheets are dirty and so are you
    the warmth of a bed
to a guy who sleeps on the floor
    was enough to perpetuate
all the lies I heard before
and now I wanna hold you
    gotta hold my pillow instead
and my pillow will never lie
or be with a stranger in my bed
even though you'll never come clean
    you know its true
    those sheets are dirty
    and so are you
wheres the love I was looking for
    its out the door
I'm afraid to see you any more
so its back on the floor
    cause those sheets are dirty
    woke up this mornin
    alone on the floor
    thinking about those clean sheets
and the way it was before
and when I look in the mirror
    I saw your face
    and thought of the past
but now I know how dirty you are
took my fist and smashed the glass
even though you'll never come clean
    you know its true
    those sheets are dirty
    and so are you
even though you'll never come clean
    you know its true
    those sheets are dirty
    and so are you
    those sheets are dirty
    those sheets are dirty
    those sheets are dirty

Oh, and the best smelling detergent by far is Gain Joyful Expressions - Apple Mango Tango. Sheets that are washed with that and line dried are amazing :D

I just hung my sheets out on the line.

looking forward to the clean sheet feeling later.

also, anyone else like turning the pillow over so you get the cold side? ;)
Oh, now I wanna take a nap. Clean sheets dried outside? SO GOOD.

    And the pillow flip? Guilty.

Why is bedding so great??? I'm with all of you on this one. I have a featherbed and a microsuede duvet cover. And, clean fresh sheets are the best thing ever.

Oooooh...I got one of those foam mattress toppers. It's so amazing it's sick. No dog allowed on the bed. No kids.

I really hate my pillow... it's just your standard stuffed pillow. I'd like to get a really really nice one, but I find all of those 'last pillow you'll ever need' commercials on TV (I'm looking at you, Tony Little) a little hard to believe.

Anyone have any good suggestions for a pillow?

Not that this will help you but at Christmas time I stayed at my sister's and I can never find good pillows. Anyway the one she had on my bed was FAB!! Best pillow ever. So I told her so and she let me have it :) So perhaps if there was some way you could stay at my sister's.. you might get the perfect pillow. I have the best sleeps now :)

I know.. it would be quite a trip just for a decent pillow.. and you would have to put up with her SUPER annoying dog  .. seriously I love animals and this dog drives me NUTS. Not really the dog's fault..my sister's fault but I can't very well shove her and tell her to leave me the fuck alone and as far as I recall my sister has never peed on the floor either. So maybe you just want to get your own. And you can't have the one she gave me either.. I am the cooler sister by the way ;)

but i must admit i know what you all are talking about. clean, hang-dried sheets remind me of when i was a kid and my mom washed my stuff. unfortunately, i grew up to be a filthy bastard.

A filthy bastard, you say? Really? And yet you seem so charming  ;)

I've readied it all for her, you know
Clean sheets, incense, and lots of fluffy pillows
    Now soiled
    And where's my cigarette?
Did you check the bathroom, the bathtub?
    She sleeps there sometimes
    Water cleanses you know?
    Washes dirt away, makes new
Maybe she, maybe she, maybe she, maybe, maybe she swam away

Clean Sheet day is a close second only to Brand New Sheet day.

It's about that time for me.

I love brand new sheet day. I used to love it so much I would buy new sheets once a month. My little new sheet odsession got expensive so I don't do that anymore but I miss having new sheets all the time.

I love IT!!! I do love clean sheets.

Haffajappa, I so agree with you...although I might pick a bath over a show just for relaxation. There really is nothing better...well I could think of a few more ingredients that might add some spice ;) yes they make for a better sleep. I have the most comfy bed in the world...and my duvet. I am not sure how I lived without a duvet before :o :?

    your bed does sound comfy.

I need to change my sheets, will do that tomorrow and put in some nice crisp clean ones.
I also need a new pillow, mine has grown really flat over time
