On a side note....I would take photos of where he is black and blue in case she ever tries to go to court to get him back again.
I think (and it may be too late now, the bruises may have faded) taking him to a doctor to be examined and documenting the bruises is a better option. Documents the date and the Dr.'s opinion of the bruising, plus in this day and age keeping photos of a child's naked buttocks could be easily misconstrued.

I know, what sucks is the next day when I went to call the police to look at the bruises they were very faded. So there really was no point then. We have a few pics which I hate having but if theres ever a question to what she did to him at least I have evidence. Here's some other pics for you guys.

Thanks! We now have fulll custody and a restraining order against the beast. I have a bad feeling she is up to something though and is going to come up this way soon. I'm really nervous and scared. She will try to kidnap him again. Only this time she WILL go to jail. I will make sure of it.

GET A CELL PHONE FOR HIM!

have him keep it off or something - and my understanding from various spy movies is that police can still triangulate a phone as long as the battery is attached... hopefully giving him a homing signal.

Of course, ask the police if this is all correct. :)

I actually work at a cell phone shop and there are specific things that can be done. You can purchase a package that allows you to track phones on your account. A lot of people use it for work to locate their employees. I don't see why you couldn't do this for him. It would be a good idea.

And what a beautiful family you all make. What a little darling. How horrifying that he had to go through that whole ordeal... Let's hope it is washed from his memory and replaced with goodness from now on.

Thank you! It felt so good to have him back with us again. It says something too that he started calling me mommy again within minutes. I'm sure he is confused too. He came in last night with my BF and I was upstairs and he came running up shouting "mommy, mommy!" and have me a big hug. He is just a little sweetie pie.

As for the cell phone, I have seen those companions. I wonder if I clipped one to him... but she could just throw it away if she got him. Hmm. I'll look into this. Honestly wish I could micro-chip him like my puppy!!! ;-)

Hey I updated the wrong thread...

Just wanted everyone to know we got Skyler back! Thanks to everyone's support and well wishes on here!

Basically we had to jump through many many hoops. We did some slick detective work to get her many addresses. We FINALLY found her near the border of Nevada. So we had to take 4 days off work to accomplish this but it was well worth it. The sheriffs and courts in AZ were awesome. :)

Here's a picture of him coming home.

Rose that is wonderful news! Congrats and God bless.

  • Stopping in to share a XMAS photo with you guys. We took Skyler last weekend to see Santa and got a smile this year! He is doing so happy and good. his mother is back, causing trouble again. we are going to have to allow her visitation. we offered to give her Sky on New Years since she hasn't seen him in 7 months and she said she was busy with her boyfriend. Real attentive mom, huh, who can't wait to see her son. **rolls eyes** She is such a loser. Anyways... here's the pic...

    Hi Rose,

Great news. I didn't know anything about this until today. What a harrowing expereince for Skyler and for you and Tommy. I'm glad it was resolved. I was wondering- what happened with the other child? Your initial post has disappeared for some reason, but from the thread title I know there were two kids involved.

also- are her visits supposed to be supervised? i hope so. i would NOT let her be alone anywhere with Skyler.

it will be a Great Father's Day this year no doubt!!!

  • I deleted the origina post bc it gave information about Skyler's mom and I was just afraid it would somehow get back to her and hinder our case.

Unfortunately she has every other weekend visits. BUT I highly doubt she will see him. The last time she has seen him with the exception of last weekend was in February. She told the court we kept her son from her. Very far from the truth. She signed off on a final parenting plan in Dec and began her visitaton. After only 2 visits, she told us, I cannot take Skyler bc I am going to an all you can drink Superbowl party. (mind you she is also pregnant with some guy she doesn't know baby) So we said okay you can see him on your next visit. She never picked him up. In fact she has never herself picked him up, we always had to deliver him and frankly got tired of doing all the work and spending all the money on the hour drive back and forth. She disappeared for a while telling us she was in a homeless shelter, etc. While I would love to take away visitation, the court is not so happy to do so. When she screws up next, we will move to take away her visitation and also will seek the child support she has never paid us.

She also refused to give us her address where she was living. So we refused to let her take Skyler without that. We only got her address last weekend... after asking for 4 months. I still don't believe she lives there though...

She showed up to pick up Sky last weekend for her first visit in 4 months without a child seat. So the daycare lady made her buy one. Then she came back wanting to know where his bag of clothes and toys and diapers were. Unbelieveable.... she can't even provide the bare min for Skyler. So he was in the same dirty clothes all weekend.
Skyler did tell her that his mommy was on the school bus to work (me) and that angered her. He also told her he did not want to go with her but wanted to wait for his Daddy to pick him up. We expected she would talk a lot of trash to him over the weekend but I think Sky is smarter than her. He came running to me "Mommy!" from her and was very happy to see his daddy. Tommy asked if Sky missed him and he said "no, i only missed mommy" and pointed to me. What a riot!

So yes, this case could still go on and on and on..... I'm hoping one day she realizes what a deadbeat she is and stays out of his life for his own good.

Oh sad story on the other boy... he was returned to his father some time last year and then his mother just one day went over and took him and has been bouncing him around from shelter to shelter. She is hiding from his father. I don't really know too much else about it except the boy wants to be with his mother now. :(
