Almost through season 4. Yeah it is the low point of the show. But I forgot that Ralphie's secret ingredient to his eggs is a dollop of sour cream. Have always meant to try that out. Gotta get on that.

It's such a great show but there are some tough episodes to get through.  Christopher/Adrianna with the rapper in season 1, Columbus Day, season 5 episode with the 30 minute dream sequence, all the Kevin Finnerty stuff.  Just got through the Finnerty stuff and now on to Vito in New Hampshire!  Will be sad when it's over.

The rapper episode wasn’t my favorite. In fact, Christopher’s whole writing and film thing was unnecessary to me. Except for the scene when Lauren Bacall gets sucker-punched.

Juggler, do it! Cream cheese or even chèvre work well too.

Tried it this morning with the sour cream. Delicious.

Finishing 5 tonight. I think it is better than 4, but not as good as the first three by a long shot. 5's problem, mainly, was that it was just uneven. There are some great episodes and a few snoozers.

Not looking forward to the Johnny Cakes storyline looming over the horizon....

Anyone else been checking out the 'Talking Sopranos' podcast with Michael Imperioli and Steve Schirripa? It's one of the best Sopranos-themed ones out there. They have so many great guests, including most of the cast, talking about the show as well as their own lives and careers. There's a really cool vibe and respect between Michael and Steve and their guests.

This was great, really enjoyed the Steve  Buscemi and Anabella Scorria interviews. Does anyone know why Adrianna didn't give an interview?

Yeah I'm 2 into 6. So I think I have like 18 episodes to go. Will be tough.

To me, one of the reasons the later seasons were not as good as earlier ones is AJ. That kid sucked as an actor and the character stinks. Yet he's given a lot more screen time towards the end for some reason. I can't stand AJ.

I'm in Kevin Finnerty Land at the moment...

Agree fully -- AJ peaked in Episode 1, Season 1 with "what, no fucking baked ziti" or whatever his line was.  All downhill/dumb from there.

Lol...yeah 30 minutes into a 7 season show and it was downhill. Agreed.  Wish they would've realized how bad an actor he was and just used him for comedy relief like that from time to time. But the family was such a huge part of the show, I guess they couldn't do that. It's frustrating. Every scene with that douche is cringeworthy.

One of the worst characters in TV history.  I know teenagers are generally assholes but my god AJ is the worst.  Horrible actor and character.

The Finnerty episodes were tough to get through but they didn't go on as long as I thought they did.  Feels like they were half the season but was only a couple episodes.

Yeah I thought that too the first time through. I think he comes out of it at the end of the next one (3). The Finnerty stuff isn't bothering much actually. I felt the acting in the hospital (especially Edie Falco and other than fucking AJ) has been stellar.

Agree with everyone about AJ.  Couldnt stand the character or that chunky spoiled looking kid who acted

AJ was more re entertaining when he was chubby.

I’m in the Feech section. Loved (yet again) Junior seeing Curb on TV and thinking Larry and Jeff were him and Bobby

As bad as AJ was (the character and the actor), the scene in Season 6 when Tony has to save him in the pool blows me away every time. Watching the mood change from Tony’s panic when he sees what’s happened, to his anger at AJ, then to a dad cradling his crying son is heartbreaking.

Plus Tony follows this up with another great line: "He could just be a fucking idiot. Historically, that's been the case."
    “Do not postpone happiness”
    (Jeff Tweedy, Sydney 2007)

“Put yer good money on the sunrise”
    (Tim Rogers)

  • It sucks they couldn't get a better actor to play AJ... the character was pretty crucial for Tony's arc.

I also love how Janice was a constant, what with her woes, selfishness, and Epstein-Barr.

Yeah I kind of hated Janice. ...except the acting was great, so I grew to appreciate her character more.

  • Janice sucked, but this guy was a legend.
