Yeah I know it's a pretty bad thing to admit but eventually I found the path to PJ. As an excuse I did grow up in a town with no real radio station and we didn't even get MTV. That was back when MTV actually played music.
I told my parents I didn't want to go to their "stupid Neil Young concert" when I was a little kid. I still can't believe I did that, I actually started to really love Neil a few months after they went to that show. Guess I deserved it.

I like bluegrass music. I'm not a big enough fan to know all the bands, etc., but I enjoy going to a good bluegrass fest and spending the afternoon listening to them play.
Bluegrass music kicks arse, some amzing things done on guitar and banjo
Pearl Jam - London Astoria 20/4/06....One hell of a night
Other Music Confessions
- I listen to Coldplay, actually mostly "A Rush of Blood to the Head"
- I grew up listening to Run-DMC, Public Enemy, Beatie Boys and LL Cool J
- I own Human Clay - a CD by Creed. It was a gift, and I technically own it.
- My Children are Shania Twain fans. We listen to it in the car all the time. I have the songs memorized
Pearl Jam Confessions
- I left a concert once when Yellow Ledbetter started to play. I wanted to catch my last train
- I didn't by my first copy of Ten until Black was a single. I missed out on them during Jeremy, Even Flow and Alive
- At the Barrie'98 show, I didn't make it out of the beer tent until 4 songs in, missing Corduroy, Brain of J, Hail Hail. I could hear the music, but I was just hammered.
- I truly dislike the following songs: Light Years, Thin Air, Pilate, Unemployable, Evacuation and all of Riot Act (except, All or None, Thumbing, Can't Keep, Bushleaguer and 1/2 Full).
My brain just jumped outta my head, wrote a note that said "Dear Justin, It has come to my attention that as of lately we have just been vegging. Ya know, that's cool, I don't mind that. What I do fucking mind is that to wake me up this morning you decided to blast not fucking one but fucking two nickelback songs AT THE SAME FUCKING TIME. What the fuck? Do I not treat you good? Do I not supply you with an ample amount of imagination to help you out when you're not getting any? Even though I do all of this you pull this shit. Well, it was fun while it lasted but I fucking quit. Love, Your brain."
That is a shitty one....but FUCK...I could't miss WASH!
 WTF?!?!?
ok, ok.....I did too.
believe it or not, we don't "need" anything. that is only the spoiled brat in us trying to fill some temporary solution to an emptyness that does not exist.

With a capital "L"......hey, it was a free night, laughs with a bunch of girl friends and my girlfriend's 9yr old nephew. He rocked out the entire night. We ate chocolate and drank champagne in a limo there and back.

Years ago I went to a free festival in Luxemburg. I travelled for 8 hours through 3 countries to get there.
I was really looking forward to seeing MUSE and was trying to work my way up through the crowd.
The band just before MUSE were Indochine (anyone know them?) and their music was a mix of french chanson music and popular rock. It stank. The performance was over the top as well, I think I remember the singer wearing a necklace made of roses.
I hated it and refused to rock out. But I was surrounded by Indochine die-hards and they started pushing me back.
So I rocked out. I smiled, I jumped, I went "Yeah!".
The crowd loved me! I was their MRCIF (most recently converted indochine fan). They helped me stay up front. And when Indochine stopped playing after an hour of torture, they all left to get a drink and I stood on the first row.
MUSE were amazing.
PS Here's a pic of the singer that evening... no necklace, but still:
Like a cloud dropping rain
I'm discarding all thought
I'll dry up, leaving puddles on the ground
I'm like an opening band for the sun
1. my brother and I went to Super Tramp once... free tickets but I suppose that's no excuse
turns out we knew every song from the radio and had oodles of fun singing along.
I paid good money to see Wheatus. I think I even bought a t-shirt afterwards. I did not spend the night in jail afterwards.
I was only about 13, and Wheatus are pretty much all we can hope for in deepest darkest Cumbria, but still...
well i used to be known as the "creed guy" on the other music section of this board LOL. not into them nearly as much these days but i think alter bridge are a quality band with a damn fine lead singer. i got invited by a mate to see matchbox twenty and i really enjoyed it!
The wind is blowing cold
Have we lost our way tonight?
Have we lost our hope to sorrow?
Feels like were all alone
Running further from what’s right
And there are no more heroes to follow

NOW I don't feel any embarrassment at all. Thanks.

I've got a new one.
I'm seeing a guy who thinks Nickelback is one of the best bands out these days. he said, and I quote "their music actually means something these days"
I just about fuckin died last night when he said that. At least I had brought over some PJ that I burned for him.
I'm going in my hole now.
