"The Big Rich" by Bryan Burrough. It's a detailed and very entertaining history of the four wealthiest oil families in Texas in the early 20th century, how they struck it rich, and their impact on all kinds of institutions including politics.

Hemingway's Chair - Michael Palin (almost finished)

Queen of Babble Gets Hitched - Meg Cabot (about halfway through)

Whole Lotta Led Zeppelin - Jon Bream (haven't gotten very far yet)

Norwegian Wood - Haruki Murakami (started a short while ago)

I think all of these are in English, I can't remember which books I've read in Finnish or English. :D

also I have my never-ending reading mission in the form of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (in English aswell, that's why it's taking me forever.. :| ) which I've started many many times.

I struggled to get through the first book and bailed after that. The writing is horrible!

I'm rereading The Road by Cormac McCarthy. I've figured out why a lot of it didn't stick the last time around, and that would be because of the writing style. There's a lot of run-ons that make some of the book hard to read, even though the plot is good.

I didn't care for that one. It felt like a short story that was stretched into a novel just to win prizes. Perhaps the most over-hyped novel I've read outside of Confederacy of Dunces. They both won the Pulitzer interestingly enough.

I'm reading the Preacher series of graphic novels now. It's some crazy shit!
  • I'm reading Painting Mona Lisa which is quite interesting - all about the church mafia in 15th century florence.
Also still trying to get through Dreams from my father by BO but it's stalled a bit, since I'm not commuting anymore.

By the way, is anyone on Goodreads here? It's a good way of keeping track of your books, writing reviews and finding out about new books. If you are on there feel free to add me! This is my profile: http://www.goodreads.com/user/show/1022800 :D
