  • i went to nfl.com and they had a poll asking what people thought was the biggest factor that led to the cowboys defeat. one was romo's 4 td passes, the other t.o.'s 156 yd rec, another packs 142 yd penalties and bret favre's injury. i found it odd that more people voted for bret favre's injury. in fact, i think those people must've not been watching the game cause it was actually a good thing for the packs that favre had gotten hurt otherwise the cowboys would've smothered them completely. aaron rodgers actually kept the game close. i wish it was ok to slap stupid people.

edit: i've come up with a great idea. there should be a t-shirt that instead of reading, "i see dumb people" it will read "i slap dumb people"

Rogers did play pretty well. surprised me a bit

  • Rodgers was 18/26 for 201yds 1TD and 0 interceptions
    Farve was 5/14 for 56yds 0TD and 2 interceptions

    Romo was 19/30 for 309 4TD 1 interceptions

it's ridiculous.... just think about it.... one pass completion and romo had 108 yards more than rodgers.

if cowboys and pats face again... i hope cowboys put brady out like they did favre. but that's just wishful thinking.

Romo caught and then passed Danny White for the Cowboys single-season TD record last night. White had 29. Romo now has 33. There are 4 games left. He is on pace for 44.

Romo also passed for 300 yards. He only needs 4 more 300 yard games to become the Cowboys CARREER leader in 300 yard games! How crazy is that??

    Aikman only had 13.

Wasn't that an amazing collection of QB talent on the field for the coin toss??? Bret, Romo........and the two great QB icons of the Cowboys, Staubach and Aikman. Can't go wrong with any of them.

and to see romo outplay them all.... that's really something. he shoulda had 5 td passes. silly romo....

i just hope they got enough to go to the superbowl and enough even to beat the patriots. i believe they can. i'm predicting the cowboys to go 14-2 or 15-1

Cause of this wonderful comment you made.

''If cowboys and pats face again... i hope cowboys put brady out like they did favre. but that's just wishful thinking.''

Packers and Cowboys will see each other again in the playoffs. Hoping for players to be ''put out'' is not what I want to see. I hope to see your entire team knocked out by Green Bay this January.

That's whishful thinking for me. :D

what i meant by "put out" was to shut out.... not to hurt. i don't wanna see players get hurt... but i would like them to see them get shut down. it's normal for me to wish for that to happen. just like it's normal for you to wish for green bay to beat dallas again... it's all wishful thinking. you should be annoyed by people who say, "dallas will beat packers again, bottom line. and win the superbowl." that's not wishful thinking. that's being way too confident. i wasn't trying to give out that kind of vibe. i was just "wishing". what's wrong with that?

  • Do any of yall have the NFL network? Its wonderful. Anyway, I have to agree with Jaime Dukes (put up your dukes, its a show) on the cowboys. They are to sloppy, a great team, but they should have put that team out of their misery. They have all the tools, once they take that mental step, they will be a championship-calliber team.

  • Thinking about the interveiws after the game:

Romo was good. Owens said they were still a work in progress. He was complementing the defense, but knows the ship isn't completely tight yet. This is good. I think they're all beleiving in themselves, but know they are still needing a few steps to be that great team that wins superbowls. (how mature is Owens, btw)

The way I see it, they need DBs the most. two 1st round picks next year......
I'd be tempted to take a corner and a saftey. I think they should add one or two more skill players too. I like the rest of the D. Like the line, maybe get a future development for Adams. Def like the two tight ends. But spend the big bucks getting a corner, safety and either a young GREAT receiver and complentary rb to Barber or over the top RB and 4th amount of money on WR. I like the 1st idea better.

Yeah, they are going to need a corner (Henry is getting up there) and a receiver soon. They are talking about signing Ken Hamlin to a long term deal. I would be OK with that. He's not the best cover safety in the league but he has become a vocal leader on the defense and they've been better since he's been here. Plus he is only 26.

Julius Jones is gone after this year so they will need a RB if they want to continue with this two back scheme, but they can pick up someone in free agency to take his place. Jones has become a very average RB.

Word is Roy Williams (the receiver) wants out of Detroit. Maybe Dallas can do something there.

..and Cleveland's new-found ability to win games has probably cost us a chance at McFadden. :(

Definitely. But I have never been a fan of using a high draft pick on a RB anyway. And the Cowboys will probably make MB3 the starter next year. So they just need someone to compliment him.

Biggest need will be secondary and wide receiver I think.

They also need to lock up Flozell Adams, or franchise him. He may make a few mental mistakes with false starts and such, but when he plays, he is dominant against the other team's pass rush. He can make an opposing pass rusher a non-factor.

but what if the high draft pick on a rb would be another emmitt smith?

that would be incredible wouldn't you think? witten, romo, owens and a superb rb.... i believe marion barber can get better. he's only 26. then we wouldn't only have triplets (aikmen, smith, irvin) but this time we'd have quadruplets.

don't forget the cowboys have terry glenn to come back late this year/early next year and that he was a romo favorite. i guess the key is whether or not crayton is really good enough to be the #2 and then slot glenn like troy brown or something...maybe glenn could even play nickel.

sheesh... so what will we call it then? quintaplets? is that how you say it?

we'd call it a more well rounded offense than the Pats without as good a QB...reminicent of the old Cowboys (Aikman, Irvin, Harper (my fave), K-Mart, Novachek, Smith, and a fat o-line that all loved their mary-j). They could have scored 50 against the Packers the other night, and just did stupid stuff to hold off.

Yeah, it would, but I think defense and receiver are going to be bigger issues. TO and Glenn aren't getting any younger, even though TO is having a career year.
