that was an interesting read. i believe that the patriots and belichick do everything for a reason, but who knows?

i liked this part: "For a team that is usually great at making adjustments, the Patriots didn't seem to make many defensive adjustments on Sunday night." i thought the exact same thing once the game got deeper into the 2nd quarter.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

from ron jaworski about the eagles aggressive approach against the pats:

"I believe that's the approach you have to take. Quite honestly, this is the best offense I have ever seen. The best. They are going to score points. They only had eight possessions against Philadelphia and ran 73 plays. Every time they came on the field, they ran nine plays. So this is an offense that is going to move the football. They believe in being aggressive. ... As an offense, if you're playing against the Patriots, you can't say 'let's run the ball, let's slow down the game, let's limit their possessions.' Look at what the Eagles did. They did about everything right and still lost the ballgame."

Correct two throws of Feely's and the Eagles win.

On the other hand, it seems the Pats have an answer for anything and everything before the final gun.
It almost seems they are playing these games close for the hell of it.

No. It isn't that. You wish?

I think a team that is so dominating is going to obviously be played tougher as the season progresses, and we're seeing that beginning with the Indianapolis game a few weeks ago. Every team before that had been a doormat for the Pats.
What I am saying is that the talent and genius of this particular team runs so deep that they can afford to take chances on playing to their weaknesses to see where they stand at this stage in the season. What do you have when you have nothing to play for?

Did you just see those 2 sacks?

That second one wasn't supposed to happen.

They're flirting with a loss now, but plenty of time.

I gather it's as much as your wanting of the Patriots demise. The Ravens have a way of playing very close games and fading in the end.

We'll see what they made of tonight.

    this is crazy ....

    Time out on 4th down?

fale start on the Pats .... that gives them another chance ...

a HORRIBLE holding call on 4th and 5? I'm a pats fan, I thought that call was marginal ...

now a revied TD .... but, after that ... 2, 15 year penalties ... so, at the worst, it'll be first and goal form the 4 ... at best ... TD ...

    CRAZY ending

the superbowl luster is gone, he's *got* to go ... you can tell that this defense doesn't respect him at all ....

BS. This is how a team that is so dominating gets its wings. It's a long season. The biggest charge they got this season was against Indianapolis, and so they've been, almost inadvertantly, driven to accomplish that greatest accomplishment of the year. It has shown in every game since.
