that being said - Jim is starting to annoy me. I used to like him a lot, but now- I just dont like him anymore...he is too cruel in his mocking...and the way he keeps looking at the doc filmers, as if he needs reassurance that they see the idiocy of the office...meh, it's getting old.
That is the problem I have with the general direction of the show. It's becoming too unrealistic. No way would someone like Jim do what he does in front of a real camera crew and not expect to be fired for his actions after the higher-ups saw it on TV.
That's what I appreciated about the British Office. They, for lack of better terms, were keepin' it real.
drivingrl: "Will I ever get to meet Gwen Stefani?"
kevinbeetle: "Yes. When her career washes up and her and Gavin move to Galveston, you will meet her at Hot Topic shopping for a Japanese cheerleader outfit.
When Dwight came back in and started to mess with Jim's papers again, I felt the show knows where it's at, where it came from and knows where it wants to go. I love this season so far.

After googling the Grass Roots I just realized that the actor who plays Creed is named Creed Bratton. I never realized the character and actor had the same name. Am I the only one? It was not the name he was born with though. He changed it prior to being in the band in the 60's. I guess it is his stage name.
in addition to creed, a few of the "secondary characters" share first names with the actors:
Phyllis is played by Phyllis Smith
Oscar is played by Oscar Nunez
Angela is played by Angela Kinsey
I don't want to be hostile. I don't want to be dismal. But I don't want to rot in an apathetic existance either.

Thanks for the info. I had never really paid attention before.

Steve Carel was interviewed on the Bob & Tom show this morning. One of them mentioned that Creed was his favorite character. Steve said that the guy that plays Creed was the lead guitarist for the Grass Roots (a band back in the 60's, early 70's maybe). He said that at first Creed was supposed to be just a background character, but he was so good that they kept adding more and more of him.
I love the Creed character, everything he says is gold. Hilarious

I thought they were better with an hour, now that I think about it. Gives them a little more time to tell their stories. When there are 2 or 3 story lines goin on, they can't fit enough into a half hour, it needs to be at least 45 minutes, and since they really can't do that, they should just bump it up to an hour.

great episode. and i thought michael's commercial was going to be awful, but it was good!! haha
OH D!!
OH D!!
Maybe I am a bit of a softy, but that was my favorite part.
All in all, I thought the first segment was lacking. They usually come out with guns a blazin, but the rest of the show was kickass, as usuall.
"Oscar, you are in charge of wardrobe"
This shit is freakin hilarious
also check out shrute-space.
and the unofficial commercial aka Michael Scot director's cut

Then Michael added "of course."
Also, Michael when talking about doing the commercial said it would be a real "coop" (he meant "coup"). So funny.
