Anyone watch "The Andromeda Strain" mini series on A&E? Its an adaptation of a Michael Crichton book and Daniel Dae Kim is one of the stars. I started watching the other night but fell asleep. It's on my DVR so I'm going to go back and watch it. I really liked the book from what I remember of it.

I had intended to watch it after I read DDK's blog about it...

THE ANDROMEDA STRAIN
So the other thing I wanted to tell you was that the project I was working on in beautiful Vancouver last summer will be hitting the airwaves in less than a week! It's a two night miniseries called "The Andromeda Strain." and it's based on the Michael Crichton novel of the same name. Those of you in the U.S. will be able to see it on A&E on May 26th and 27th, so check your local listings. And if you're by chance sitting there saying, "Eh, it's only on A&E," don't be fooled. The network is a class act, and the producers are a couple of guys you might know named Tony and Ridley Scott. Yes, the same Tony and Ridley Scott that brought you Blade Runner, Heat, and Crimson Tide, just to name a few...
Now I know every actor says this, but it really was a great experience, and the people were just so cool. Benjamin Bratt, Andre Braugher, Ricky Schroeder, Eric McCormack, Christa Miller, and Viola Davis are all in the show, and I'm honored to be able to call them friends.
So if you can, check it out. Now that I think of it, it should be airing a couple of days before the LOST finale... kinda weird, huh? Anyway, I hope you like it, and be sure to write me afterwards to let me know what you think!
Oh yes, and before I forget, a quick followup to my last blog. The reason I asked for a large return envelope for autograph requests is so that I can send you a signature on an 8x10 photo. That is, if you don't mind. I won't be returning requests w/out sufficient return postage though, and fair warning: if I can tell you're an autograph dealer and/or I see the photo being auctioned on eBay, I will be forced to follow suit w/some of my castmates and just stop signing. I really do hope that doesn't happen though. My attitude is that an autograph is a the least I can do to show my appreciation for all your support. Hope you feel the same way...
Okay folks, time to go. Looking forward to hearing from you!

I got some great pics last September of the set, their camp, it was kind of hard to locate, imagine that, but it was so awesome. The beach where the plane crashed and the others camp was right down the road from the house we rented. Very unreal to see. The others camp is actually a YMCA camp. They were filming in town that day, but we've yet to see any footage. Good times for die hard fans. Got lots of pics if anyone is interested.
Can't wait for the show tomorrow!
Very cool!
I'm off in a few to the Kualoa Ranch and am going to take some pictures from where you enter the island, i.e. the view Juliet had when she exited the sub. That's still on eof my favorite views from the show.
Andromeda was good. Not a bad story, nice cast of characters and makes you think alittle.
Ive still got about an hour or so to watch of it. It's pretty good. Very science based which is how Crichton writes, and they threw in changes to fit with the current affairs of today. If anyone who missed it wants to see it, check your listings. I'm pretty sure that A&E is replaying it within the next couple of days in a 4 hour block.
Can't wait for the finale tonight. It'll be 3 straight hours with the repeat!
Am I crazy? I sure don't recall them naming Libby, Boone, and Charlie as the other three that survived the crash?
that must be the 'extra footage' they're talking about... but in kate's trial they said two people survived the crash and died later...not sure why it's now three.
this episode has already made me cry about three times tonight.
and yeah, the person in the casket.... hurley asked sayid why he's calling him that name...must be an alias of someone we know.
Damn, totally shocked, but brought so much together..
What the hell did Sawyer wisper in Kate's ear before he jumped!?
i'm guessing it's whatever favor she told jack she promised him she'd do (in the epi where she was all secretive on the phone when they were together in the future)....also guessing it's about his daughter.

yep, that's my guess... great episode and can't wait to see them all go back to the island at some point next season

5/23/2011- An utter embarrassment... ticketing failures too many to list.
tons of answers tonight.
this show has been set on a completely new course. even with todays replay, the montage at the end of part one just gave the 2 hour finale following it and epic feel before it even began.
a few questions for the last 2 seasons:
is claire dead? if so how?
hurley has been visited by both charlie and eko. who else has been visiting? was dave real afterall?
how was charlotte taken off the island as a baby?
with the island moved and so many different means of traveling off the island destroyed (helicopter, boat given to michael, sub locke blew up) it is clear john can still leave the island. how does he do it?
who is christian shepherd (i mean really) and how is he related to jacob?
who is jacob?
plenty more but ill leave it at that. most of the losties we met in the pilots are now gone except for the 6 and locke, sawyer, rose/bernard and claire (?).
my dvr crapped out but im def ituning this to watch it again. cant wait for next january.

Claire is not dead. She's missing.. She's the reason Jack is so eager to go back. He finds out she is his sister at his dads funeral.
Anyone else have a strange feeling Jin and Michael survived?.. We all know the island wouldn't let Michael die.. and their supposed deaths were watched from quite a distance away. Jin could have jumped or been thrown off the ship.. and it's clear Sun will be doing what she can to find the island again, even dealing with Charles Whitmore now..

But didn't Christian say to Michael something to the effect of "you can go now Michael". Meaning he did what he was supposed to and the island is not protecting him anymore? Jin might have but Michael was right where the explosives were.

Ah, you're right.. still think Jin might have jumped ship.

I am subscribing to this theory.
All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.
They have to take Locke/Jeremy's body back to the island. Maybe this bodes well. Maybe once he is back on the island he will be rejuvenated back to life. Gotta wonder why he left the island in the first place. Obviously that is something we will find out in the future.
Sun has become quite the confident take charge person. I wonder why she was actually helpful to Whidmore. The writers of this show have created this insane back and forth emotion where you think a character is evil and bad and then flips it around to put them in a more positive light. You can't figure out who really is the bad guy.
Jack had pretty good taste in music during his whig out time. Last year he was listening to Nirvana in the jeep and this finale we get a little taste of The Pixies - "Gouge Away" playing on the radio as he heads for the funeral parlor and the big climactic scene. Wondering if "Jeremy" would have been a more appropriate song on the radio. Maybe that woulda been overdoing it?
Gonna watch this episode again this weekend I think.

My guess is that he had to move the island again like Benry did in this episode and was forced to leave. Remember Jack said that he told him "lots of bad stuff has happened".

last time we'll be saying that until 2009....

well i think claire is part of the reason but as for her missing i dont think its that simple.
