    oh right.. sorry ponc.. i could READ every once in a while.

    i do feel like sayid will be a casualty.. sadly. i dont think he offers anything to further the story.. there are people like claire, jack (obviously), sun, kate, etc.. that have further explaining to do.. sayid is just the badass smart one who always knows whats up.. usually those kind die way in the beginning

    to be honest, i need a sayid refresher...i can't remember where his back story was left. seems like forever since there has been a sayid episode.

    That's very true, but unless one of the freighter people becomes resident technology geek on the island - Sayid is the go to man whenever something has to be done with electronics. Plus he often leads their spy and recon missions.

    In my opinion, Sayid lasts for a long time.

    The only person on the island who really doesn't have a role in my opinion is Claire. True, Jack and her don't know they are related, but other than that what does she have going on show currently with Charlie no longer there.

    She's had even fewer flashbacks than Sayid.
