Yeah. Since he played for the Spain national team, I thought he was part of one of the bigger clubs. And it turns out he plays for Betis.
(ok, apparently he just transfered to Valencia...)

Beckham sucks. And C.Ronaldo, I'm pretty sure that if Argentina had to play Portugal, I would have a definite reason to absolutely loath him, for sure.

He did go to Valencia not a bad team for sure, but Real and Barca have so much more appeal.
Yes he played for Betis, and they always asked too much. They didn't want him to go. They had plans for making a run on the top teams. Still Barca should have tried harder. He is worth it. Good freekick as well.

haha, it sounds like my team. We sold a lot of players who play/played for the national team. Most recently the goalkeeper, Abbondanzieri. Now the only one left from the '06 national team is Palacio.

Pretty much the whole team was made up of players from European clubs. But these next 4 years, with Basile being the coach, is very likely that a lot of Boca and ex-Boca players will be on the roster.

Good luck. Just when I get crestfallen about England's sometimes abysmal performances, I can at least take heart when I say to myself "At least I'm not a Scottish fan." Sorry, but the depths to which they've sunk to since the days of Hansen, Dalglish, McGhee, McCoist, McStay, etc. are pretty bad.

  • Well Euro 96' the Netherlands progressed on goal difference lol
But that's the thing. Just like England, Scotland doesn't play well until their backs are up against the wall. Happened in 1978 when they should have done much better against Peru and Iran, happened in 1990 when they almost found a way to beat Brazil after flopping against Costa Rica, and happened in 1998 with a pathetic loss to a weak Moroccan team. They just don't show up when they need to--only when they absolutely HAVE to, and then they fall short.
