Saw this today - holy shit. Great fucking movie.
I was really impressed. Floored by all of the violence, but really impressed.
Go see this film. :)

This was a great movie. There were some things about it that I didn't like, but it was overall very entertaining. Gunshot sound effects vary from movie to movie. In this movie, the gunshots sounded pretty cool. They had like a "clack" sound that totally made me want to go out and buy a handgun. I wouldn't mind also picking up one of those shoulder holsters.

Even if you don't usually goto the theater, you might want to check this one out there. The effect in the theater would be hard to replicate at home - and this movie is totally worth it.

    For the third time.........GREAT movie.

And for those of you who liked it, it's worth checking out "Infernal Affairs"

it was one mofo of a movie! i don't normally like "cop" movies (although i have to say that Bon Cop Bad Cop was brilliant!) but this film was exceptional! Just when i thought i had figured things out, BAM, i was wrong. Dead wrong.

    mark wahlburg was great.

and i agree that "she fell funny" was one of the good lines.

I saw that too yesterday! I was really impressed. Usually I am not for violent films, but the acting (Nicholson, Di Caprio especially, but all were great) was first-class, good screenplay adaptation, and great soundtrack. For sure not the usual American remake of international films (it is based on the Korean 'Internal Affairs' of few years ago.)

Definitely one movie to watch! Highly recommended.

Hopefully, Scorsese will finally get his well-deserved best director Oscar!

    very cool movie

i was upset about the deleted sex scene

when nicholson was with the 2 girls and he throws the coke all over
orignally the scene was supposed to be alot crazier ,,i believe one of the girls even wore a strap on ,, i guess they thought it was too raunchy
i was all psyched up to see the girls in action ,,and then i get 5 seconds of nothing

other than that movie was very cool

    Leo is a great actor
markey mark was good also as was alec baldwin

great movie!! not bettter then goodfellas though. thats a true story, you cant fuck with that. but awsome movie. great actors. a must see
  • WOW. I can't get over what a great movie this is.

my nails are bitten to the quick. I'm usually not a huge leo dicaprio fan, but he was great in this.

I think I'm gonna get my boston accent back, I think this movie's gonna make it cool again.

After seeing it last Sunday, I've been wanting to listen to the Stones all week long. I am glad to see that classic Scorsese has returned. Incredible movie!

    saw it last night
    loved it

But wow, how vicious is it. You walk out feeling it would be ok to beat someone down or shoot someone, though I'm not an aggressive person by any means

well depends on what you define as dude movie... if you had to shut your eyes when watching fight club or goodfellas... then yes stay away...

but as a chick i will say this movie rocks...

ps- i sang the dropkick murphys song for hours after i saw it

I'm not a huge fan of violence but CSI has sort of desensitized me. I always like a good story, though.

great movie, great direction, and great perfomances...
jack nicholson is hilarious, what a old bastard, dicapro keeps surprising me in every movie, marky too.... with the exception of matt damon, he,s the same non-charismatic actor in every fuckin movie....

the departed was really good almost good as Goodfellas or casino...
martin scorsese must have won a few years ago with any of his movies: taxi driver, the aviator,casino,goodfellas,etx.....

I thought it was a great movie except that big plot hole towards the end. Otherwise, great entertainment with great acting.
  • I think it sucked. The way they talked was bad acting
