It'll be an interesting next two games facing Cliff Lee and Sabathia. Sox have been feasting off poor starting pitching as of late, besides Dumpster who they unloaded on, so they're gonna have to bring it tonight and tomorrow. Indians are a crap team right now, but they're damn good spoilers. The good thing about the Tigers-Twins series right now is that one of them has to lose. The bad is that one has to win.

Heading out to the game shortly, my 5th in a row. Hopefully their winning streak, and mine, can continue! Go Go

  • Danks should be an All Star. So Should Dye. Crede with his 17 errors should not. Jason Varitek with his .219 average should not. Fuck boston.

Morneau-5 for 5 with a game winning bomb last night. Sox will fold because they're old and slow.

Or they will succeed because they have experience... don't get nervous in September, Twinkies. :p

ESPN power rankings as of All-star break!

Sox at #1, Cubs at #3.. nah, nah, nah, naaah, nah. :p

Is this year the best chance for a cross-town World series???

If the Twins haven't folded by late August, they will then or in early September. They have a killer 14 game road trip (@Seattle, @Oakland, @Anahiem, @Toronto), which is part of a month stretch in which they have zero off days and 6 home games. The Twinks don't like playing anywhere else except the baggie, and with all that travel late in the season it will be impossible for them to make a run at the Sox.

hey sox fans, just discovered this thread. that last game vs. texas was tough to watch. Paulie was killing me missing those chances with runners on.

Anyways, what are your thoughts on Alexei Ramirez? It seems to me like he makes big improvements every day. I love it. Iguchi was great in 2005, but I'm far more excited about Alexei.

He looks like a transvestite.. but possible the best all around player on the team right now.

Good win today over Detroit who's been hot lately.

    Thank you Jermaine Dye!

Back up to 3.5 games ahead of Minnesota.

Another great win for the Sox! Always good to beat Detroit.

Oh, and what's this? The Sox have a better record than the Cubs?

Let me start out by saying that I have not lost the faith, nor have I stopped believing. BUT..even though they're 5-4 since the All-Star Break(soon to be 5-5 after tonight), I'm not at all happy with how they've played. Can't keep relying on Q and Dye to carry you every game. And the starters have been awful recently and the fielding has been scar-bad. It's gonna catch up at some point. Konerko is dead weight, pretty much an automatic out every AB. Guys like Swish, Thome, Fields/Crede, Alexi, Vazquez and Floyd need to get hot and pick it up, or it's gonna be a rough last two months of the season. I'm just really frustrated with them.
